Poor sweet little Varys would never harm a child. Because he's a good guy on the show now. frick moral amiguity. frick multi layered charcaters. Everyone is good or bad!!!

Everyone finally willing to come to terms that Jon wasn't in Ghost, and the scene with Ghost looking at Jon waking up wasn't a "nod to the readers"?

I agree. Jon said there was nothing in death. If he had warged into Ghost, he would have recalled something like, "I saw Allister trying to break down the door."

I think they are setting up the boltons. My only problem is the Davos/Manderly future. I don't know how that can tie in with the current setup so maybe D$D just screwed the entire North campaign...

I enjoyed the episode but the Sam/Gilly scenes are just brutal. That boat needs to sink already.

Gilly opens the scene with her happily staring out at the storm was just a big fat frick you to the readers from D&D

Not necessarily

I think it was the work of idle, conspiratorial minds...when he reality was more Occam's razor.

There is no Manderly on the grassy knoll in the show.
No Grand Northern Conspiracy.

Never was. Other than in the hopeful minds of readers starved for something deeper.

Asha will be flayed, shaggy dog is dead, and Rickon will be groomed into the next reek.

Reekon.

He's insinuating the Umbers killer another direwolf cut off its head and presented that one. He is also insinuating that the great northern conspiracy is real dammit.

Yea, I don't think that was Shaggy Dog. I'm going to choose to believe this is a setup to gain Ramsey's trust.

To be honest, I think that scene is as close as they've gotten to Book Varys. I think he is directly threatening to murder her child if she does not comply. He's just lying through his teeth on that, and really is trying to tell her he's being highly sarcastic in this.

Ummm...if they are going to strike, needs to be done now...before Ramsey can mess w Rickon.

But that would put Rickon in danger...

Looks to be a legit backstabbing by Umber...mor3 bad writing by D&D.

Which is fine, the books=/=the show.

WOW by end of month...

One of the main reasons I believe the Umbers are about to screw the Boltons is because he wouldn't drop to a knee or pledge. He isn't bound at all to the Boltons. The Umbers just Trojan horsed their asses.

They know he was crazy enough to kill his father
Yeah, how did they know that? Just logical, or is his spat with Karstark just a front?

this is crappy storytelling considering what a monster they've made Ramsay out to be
What would be good storytelling? Having him torture Rickon and win just to be contrary to traditional stories?

bullshite. It's the way they trick Ramsay that counts, and the GNC is actually pretty elaborate. If true, it's probably GRRM's best storytelling.

If that was actually Shaggy I will be unhappy. He was the fiercest of the wolves.

Did you miss the next scene when his little birds talked about how sweet he was and how he gave them candy?
