Poor sweet little Varys would never harm a child. Because he's a good guy on the show now. frick moral amiguity. frick multi layered charcaters. Everyone is good or bad!!!
I didn't like Varys' speech with the info when he talked to Tyrion. Seemed a little too 'Scooby Doo ish"

Asha will be flayed, shaggy dog is dead, and Rickon will be groomed into the next reek.
Reekon.
If this doesn't happen, then D&D just went 180 degrees from the character they created in Ramsay. There is no way that the Ramsay on the show (or even the books) wouldn't take this opportunity to create another Reek.
The only way that the GNC works is if the Northern houses care deeply about the Starks. And if they care that deeply about the Starks, then there is no way they would put the possible heir of Winterfell in that kind of danger, even if it is to gain the trust of Ramsay. Ramsay is a psychopath, and a torturing kinslayer, and everyone knows it including the Umbers.

One of the main reasons I believe the Umbers are about to screw the Boltons is because he wouldn't drop to a knee or pledge. He isn't bound at all to the Boltons. The Umbers just Trojan horsed their asses.
Agreed.

Is anyone talking about how the Raven stated that Howland Reed is Meera's father?

going to be happy with the interpretation of TOJ.
I could have easily been happy.
Just make it like the book. Not that hard.
It took more effort to change it.

Did you miss the next scene when his little birds talked about how sweet he was and how he gave them candy?
I don't think that doesn't imply that Varys isn't a monster. Plenty of monsters bribe kids with candy.
What you didn't notice is that none of his little birds are older than 13. He kills them once they turn the age to not being bought off with candy. Any little bird he happens to be fond of I think he sends to Illyrio instead.
Granted I think he cuts out their tongues in the books, but Varys giving the children candy makes him more sick IMO. They are ignorant of their eventual fate of serving Varys.

They worked this hard to get it in

I think that was to introduce him to the Hodors.

See shite like this doesn't make sense. They could have literally copied the dialogue straight from the books. It honestly seemed like they changed the scene just for fricks sake.
"How about instead of 7 vs 3, we make it 6 vs 2? "Brilliant!"
"How about instead of Dayne having his famous Dawn, we make him Darth Maul?" "Brilliant!"
"How about scrapping all the cool dialogue and add our own?" "Brilliant!"
"How about we let Ned hear his son call out to him" "Brilliant!"

If the scene was longer we would have missed some time with Sam on the boat.

They know he was crazy enough to kill his father
Valid point. There were only two other people in the room with Ramsey and his father. That Maester dude was scared out of his mind. I don't think he would report to the Umbers what really happened. That only leaves Karstark. I think the Karstarks and Umbers are in bed together and are plotting a way to get the Bolton's out of Winterfell and put Sansa or Rickon in place as King or Queen of the North. For all we know, Rickon and Osha may be in on it. Ramsey wouldn't suspect Osha would cut his throat.

Yeah, how did they know that? Just logical, or is his spat with Karstark just a front?

And at the first sighting of Jon, Ramsay would kill Rickon right in front of him, and the Umber know it.
I don't know, I mean right now Jon Snow seems like a scary mother in a way that makes Ramsey look like an overcompensating wuss- pretend we don't have the Jon chapters but just know what he's done:
Fought off a wight at Castle Black; found a cache of Dragon stone weapons; infiltrated the wildings; saved the wall, ended a war, basically ran the WW2 boat lift; became first remembered man to kill a white walker; the second youngest commander of the watch in recorded history; oh yeah and come back from the freaking dead- that's a level of terrifying that no number of flayings, castrations or rapes can match.

Good point. I'm a bit ambivalent about it, plus he called Roose a count. We'll just have to see what happens.
