Yeah I didn't even fathom the idea that it may not be "Jon" as we know Jon. I just assumed it'd be like Dondarion (I think that was his name don't kill me if not) and he'd just be healed up and ready to go.
Also yeah I think Roose foreshadowed Ramsey's demise with the mad dog thing just before being stabbed. Ramsey's going down soon I suspect but it will be in a blaze of bloody glory I'm sure.

Here's a theory I've pieced together so far just from watching the show:
1. John Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, therefore he has King's blood and a claim to the North so when he retakes Winterfell I think they'll make him Warden or at least it's his if he chooses.
2. Rhaegar and Lyanna were secretly in love, but something happened, and she was "abducted" which of course started a rebellion to overthrow the Targaryens led by the usurper Robert. Robert loved Lyanna, but it was unrequited love, and he couldn't stand the thought of losing her to a Targaryen.
3. Ned found out about his sister and Rhaegar, but couldn't betray Robert, nor could he abandon his sister, so he took the child (John Snow) in, claimed and raised him as his own bastard, and never told Catelyn because she sucks.
