You make a good point. He would have to leave Greywater however and travel by himself right?

Maybe. She's definitely part of the prophecy. Hell, she's the mother of dragons.

I didn't think anything of it until show Olenna called him "little man" during their scene together.

Reread Knight of the Laughing tree from ASOS last night, and dammit if I don't think that the 3rd head is Meera

Mrs. Midnight and I discussed that last night. I had shelved that theory because it just seemed a little too "Star Warsish". But, no question that, by canon, she's the same age as Jon, born the same year. Now, if Ned could fake fathering a child, Howland Reed damned sure could have. They never get any unexpected visitors - best kept secrets in the North are there.

So, if Jon and Meera are fraternal twins, then I think Jon, Meera and Tyrion are the 3 heads, and Dany remains the Queen/Mother - not a head of the dragon at all. Just spitballing, of course.

"There must be one more," he said, though whether he was speaking to her or the woman in the bed she could not say. "The dragon has three heads."

I just don't buy into Tyrion being a Targaryen nor the third head of the dragon.

Aegon VI is legit; and even if he's not, his bad arse army will guarantee his Blackfyre arse will be siting on a dragon.

And this supports the "twin" theory. He's counting "1", "2" - there must be 1 more.

But, I initially read that he sensed Dany's presence, at least for the purposes of the vision, and was trying to "identify" a third. Not sure, now.

I believe Bran refers to her as similar to Jon in looks as well. Would not have been difficult for Reed to take Meera from TOJ.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. I shelved the Tyrion theory until last night's episode with the dragons.

I assumed he foresaw Danny through the prophecies and expected his child to be second.

Daeny's storyline fits that. Let her get revenge for her family.

I don't think there is a swinging dick in Westeros that doesn't fit that description.

This actually makes sense to keep them separated in case anyone ever connected the dots and went looking for one of Rhaegar's kids.

Honestly what does the average Westerosian think happened at the end of the war? What reason is given for the lack of Kingsguard with Rhaegar and Arys? Is the Tower incident kept secret? At least the Daynes have to know some of what happened there and Lady Dustin as well.

Has there been any mention of Jaime and Cercei's mother? It could not have been the same as Tyrion's, yet I cannot recall any mention in the books or show. Can someone help me out on this factoid? TIA

You may be in the wrong thread, baw.

OK smartass, answer me this, why is Jaime and Cersei's hair blond and Tyrion's brown like Tywin's. There is a theory or in the book, but Aerys impregnated Joanna, hence the blond hair ( Targ white overriding brown).

BTW, I have read the books twice, the second time reading AFFC and ADWD using the 'All Leather Must be Boiled'.

I was thinking that through earlier. I assume most people thought that they were just with Rhaegar's slam piece and/or that Ned lied and said she had a child that was stillborn. Possibly backed up by a still-born child of Ashara Dayne or her maid.

Jon not looking very Targaryen is certainly a god send.

Done is pretty pro-Targaryen since they inter-married so many of them may just be keeping it hush hush because they dislike Robert.

It is a bit of an issue that no one seems to question why these three guys were in BFE.

I don't like it either. But it has some weight. Dragon dreams and the show writers seem giving him access to the dragons last night. Other than that, I agree the theory is not good. It would really cheapen his relationship and killing of Tywin.

Unlike the show, GRRM is not creating Mary Sue/Marty Stu characters. Tyrion is a kinslayer yet you can't help but love him. That's the beauty of Tyrion and his actions being morally ambigous. Making him a Targaryen bastard just doesn't make any sense

I said I felt bad about it. Obviously you're still a bit butthurt. This isn't some hedge knight mentioned 1 time in ACOK. Joanna is as significant a "never seen" character as there is in the series, possibly excepting Aerys, Rhaegar and Lyanna.

quote:

Lannisters are known for blond hair. Not white, but blonde. Both parents were Lannisters. Tywin and Joanna were first cousins (a little Targ in style, but it is what it is).

quote:

Tyrion's brown like Tywin's

I think you're mixing up the actors on the show with the characters in the books - all the Lannister characters have(ETA: relatively) consistent hair color, at least as far as I remember. I think Tyrion's hair may be straight as opposed to curly, but that's about the only textual difference I recall. Tyrion has "pale blond" hair in ADWD. He also has strands of "black" hair in his scalp and beard, which is a strange mixture.

Now - for other Tyrion "pro-Targ" evidence, he has mismatched eyes - the only other prominent description of a character with mismatched eyes was Sheira Seaster, one of the Great Bastards (and Targ).
