Who else is pumped for the next off screen death?

That's because it's just hair and it's hanging from where it was on the head. And the Waif didnt have hair that long on her entire head. Period.
If I'm wrong then they went to a hell of a lot of trouble to set that up for some REALLY LAME payoff. The Waif is only really ever seen by Arya or Jaquen. Lady Crane dies when she's in the same house as Arya but coincidentally Arya goes blackout and TADA! the Waif shows up and kills her.
That whole race to the 'dark place' where the last vestige of Arya, (Needle) is and suddenly Arya is running and jumping like a parkour master with a bunch of perforated guts isn't suspect at all obviously. That's just poor writing apparently. Because that's really been a hallmark of this show. The poor writing and lack of attention to detail

This is akin to all the hand wringing that occurred over the "mysterious" person behind the waif who would save Arya. I mean, sure through a complicated series of events it might not be the waif on the wall, but come on - you know that it is.

How is Arya regaining her true identity a "really lame payoff"? It's not.
it took way too long and the entire Many Faced God story, which took 2 full seasons, seems like a complete waste
I get that she will be this badass assassin now, but me (and obviously many more) were just hoping for something a little more interesting than an Arya "finding herself" story arc to the whole thing.
The last 2 episodes for Arya were very bad writing. The reason almost everyone thought that it was not Arya last episode was because how she acted made zero sense. And then this episode she got Lady Crane killed. She even said that Lady Crane wasn't safe. She knew the waif was coming after her but still went to Lady Crane and took a drug that would make her black out.
People keep talking about this "trap" that Arya set for the waif, but this "trap" was only after Arya had almost been killed and got Lady Crane killed, and now she was running through the streets with T2 chasing her and her guts about to fall out. This genius "trap" conveniently worked in the end, but it was all just very poor writing.
I'm just glad Arya is hopefully on the move again.

The Arya storyline the last 2 episodes has been really weird.
I just find it hard to believe that she was that naive to believe she could go out into Bravos without the Waif seeing her in Episode 7.
Unless she wanted to get stabbed, but it clearly wasn't shown that she was "leading" the Waif into a trap like she was in Episode 8.
Ultimately, I'm glad we get a badass assassin Arya hell bent on returning home, but its a fricking mess how they got to this point.

A few thoughts (not that anyone cares to read them):
1. Arya should be dead. No, I don't want her to be dead, but based on what happened, she should be dead.
2. I'm okay with ending the Blackfish and that storyline. However, it's a little hard to believe they all turned on him so quickly. Edmure can go frick himself.
3. I'm really okay with Dany coming in and saving the day, but at least show me Drogon roasting some ships.
4. I want Jaime to change his mind about Cersei like in the books, but I'm not sure how it's going to happen. We're running out of time, and the TV series didn't give us the scene where Tyrion told Jaime everyone she was fricking.
5. All in all, I did like the episode quite a bit, and if the final two episodes are very good, this will have arguably been my favorite season (not sure how people in this thread will feel about that).

I'm telling you, between the wildfire clip in Bran's vision to her many comments about wanting to burn everyone/everything to the ground in multiple seasons, I think she's going to try to unleash what wildfire is left from the Battle of Blackwater (or more if it's been in production since) on King's Landing.
I think Qyburn and Cersei's conversation makes this seem even more likely.
Also, In the trailer, we get something which appears to be the little birds killing somebody. I'm wondering why this will happen. In the books, it was clear that Varys had Kevan killed because he was too competent. I'm not sure how this wil play out in the show.

and then Jamie strikes her down

She is called the waif in the books.

I thought this episode was one of the worst of the series but I have enjoyed this season.

I see you ignored when I asked if you wanted a ban bet regarding the waif's face in the hall.

Overall it was a great episode, I'm just annoyed at 2 major deaths being off screen. I don't understand why they are insisting on doing it, since Stannis we have a lot of these now.
Arya killing the waif? Off screen (okay well this one was in pitch dark but still, even SFX would have sufficed)
Blackfish: "Died while fighting"
Lazy IMO

I agree and we got all the previews showing blackfish saying as long as he stands the war isn't over aaaaaaaaaaaand it's over

Thought it was really clear.
She was walking around without needle, speaking her plans out loud in public and wanted to be seen. Everything she did was completely out of character, she understands how to blend in but she was making it known. That was one of the first signs that she had a plan but we didn't know what it was at the time.

Still don't understand how ppl came to that conclusion last week. Thought it started by a troll at first then soon realized ppl believed it.
Her actions showed that she was up to something.

her plan hinged on the fact that she had to have known that the waif would not have just slit her throat or stabbed her in the heart, she would actually survive getting stabbed in the gut 8 times, she had an easy escape route, and getting Lady Crane killed
awesome plan

I didn't say it was a good plan.
Just stating that he was clearly up to something.

Right, and you can show Sandor and Gregor literally merking dudes (Mountain rips a dude's head clean off, and we even get the blood draining) and Sandor going lumberjack on dudes, but 2 actually important characters plot wise get implied shoutout deaths?
"Blackfish? Oh yea, he dead"
Waif? Most likely Arya owned her in the dark, but who knows
Lazy and suspect.

it was horrible writing
I said last week that if it was Arya last week that it would be horrible writing, and alas, she was actually Arya and I stand by that statement

The show has been hit or miss with fight scenes. When they have an older actor who might not be up to it, they may not have confidence in shooting/cutting (with a stunt double) the scenes in a satisfactory/time efficient/cost efficient way. They developed those habits with the early season battle scenes that were often aborted or only reported through narrative.
When you have a Jason Momoa in a role, you have more flexibility in how you stage and shoot the stunt sequences. He's a fit guy and is teachable for the close ups/short cuts. When you have great actors like Ian McElhinney or Clive Russell - their fight scenes might be no more credible than any scene set in Dorne, for example.
