This episode really set Jaime up to be the VQ.

They dropped the ball on Arya's story line this season.
In short, waif been sporting some uncharacteristic traits of being a faceless man. Should have been a test for her. Arya from last episode should have been actress that hired faceless men to kill lady Crane. It makes more sense if she unknowningly has Arya's face (put on by a faceless man) and have her run for her life after Arya's exposes her. Arya is smarter to be roaming the city in broad daylight drawing attention to herself like that.

I kind of err on the side that Arya fricked up and had a lapse in judgment but then took advantage of it. Did D&D say whether she was stabbed on purpose to lure the Waif? Seems counterintuitive.
