Exactly, and it has made a lot of us gun shy. The big episode 9 season 1 death was spoiled, Blackwater Bay was spoiled, then some kindly readers and vigilante Hodors did their best to put the Hodor threads on lockdown and I actually got to be surprised by the Red Wedding and the Purple wedding. Viper vs. Mountain got spoiled for me on the OT.

I just hate the "well apparently in the books....." Posts. Which there are a couple in this thread

One things for sure GoT threads cause everyone to hate each other on the Movie/TV board for 11 weeks every spring/early summer.

And to a lesser extent The 13 walking dead threads in the fall and winter.

I agree that the double death predictions came from people who'd read spoilers.
I was one of the first posters who asked about what would happen if there was a double death, but also was team Oberyn all the way and hoped that he would be victorious. I haven't had anything spoiled for me, and I'm not a reader.
It's a fight, where one guy is known to well versed in poison, a double death isn't a prediction that should be looked at as "off the wall".

oh stop being such a dishonest drama queen.
I can tell from your post history you express considerable and consistent concern about information from the books being leaked into these threads... and yet you seem to post in places which no person with this type of obsession should be.
Namely your post history shows you post in (and therefore read) the book maesters threads. You seem like you are a dick and a hypocrite.

I think the spoiler witch hunt here is kinda ridiculous.
I mean if you have two posters, one a reader posing as a hodor and one a true hodor, who post the same "theories" that happen to come true then it's easy to say both guys spoiled you.
Truthfully, in this thread at least, you don't know what is or isn't a spoiler/correct theory until it happens on the show.
If you truly want to avoid what many here perceive to be "spoilers" then you should just avoid the GoT threads all together because with discussion comes speculation. And sometimes speculations is proven true. Doesn't mean it was a spoiler.
It was not a crackpot theory to suggest that both the mountain and Oberyn were/are going to die.

Yeah...I didn't think them both dying was crazy...I just thought it was lame and would not happen.

Fwiw we haven't seen that he's dead yet. We know he was stabbed and poisoned but his death isn't as sure as Oberyn's (

I'm not talking about theories in my examples. In the first two seasons drunk readers would spoil shite with reckless abandon just to be dicks. Theories in the Hodor thread don't bother me I've made some myself. The viper was spoiled for me on the OT. What used to really piss me off was when people would say "you think that's something just wait".

Oberyn might be ok.
That still gets me

Moving on... since I don't like to google GoT things what is the title of the next episode?
Posted on 6/5/14 at 1:09 pm to UMRealist
Damn...if the Mountain isn't dead that will be shitty. Not sure how he could live through that though. He got gutted + poisoned.

Watchers on the Wall. Directed by Neil Marshall...guy who did the Blackwater episode.

I post in Hodor threads. I posted in the bookreader thread one day to clarify something about me to someone and that's it. Other than that, I stay clear of that thread. I'm not sure I've ever posted in the Middle Ground thread, but I would have no problems doing so if I had a question that I wanted/needed answered by someone in that thread. Other than that, I am strictly in this thread. So I'm not sure where you're getting your baseless fricking bullshite accusations from.

You seem like you are a dick and a hypocrite.
You seem like you should go frick yourself.
And let's not forget there were MASSIVE amounts of RAs on this thread because people were posting legitimate spoilers here and there. And that was LONG before I joined in on the thread (which wasn't until Tuesday I believe). And converstaion/discussion was going on just fine until people started bringing up other crackpot theories that they read on other sites and whatnot...and my only point with saying something then was to make sure we didn't cross into spoiler territory (not that we had already done so).
Also, as someone already pointed out, LOTS of things have been spoiled in the Hodor threads, so it's not like there isn't a reason for people to be gun-shy about things sometimes...and that includes readers posting in here pretending to be Hodors and magically "guessing" everything that is coming down the pipe.
And please also don't forget that I said one time, very briefly (less than a page?) to be wary of crossing into spoilers, yet others have bitched many times throughout this thread about it where I haven't even been around and posting.
But I guess you can keep ignoring the things I'm actually saying and keep focusing on the bullshite you're making up to try make your points. Either way, I'll be here to defend them if need be.

And for the record, I hate nobody in this thread. I'll argue for days with people in these threads, but get along with them just fine elsewhere on the board. Just like right now, I don't have any issues with molsusports outside of this thread, but in here he can go frick himself.

FWIW, I agree with all of that. And it's one reason why I don't read the GoT threads until after I watch the episode, if at all. And I also don't think it was out of the ordinary to think taht both Oberyn and Mountain could've died either. I don't want intentional spoilers to be posted, but that =/= someone guessing right...those are two different things. And believe it or not, I'm not on a witch hunt by any means...I'd just like to keep the discussion between people who haven't read the books at all and people who have completely separate (aside from the MG thread).

Do we know that he was poisoned? I thought that was just a theory at this point?
