Agreed, but look at how far she still has to go even if she sails to Blackwater Bay (which is what they were talking about last night).
It'd probably only take 2-3 weeks. Just eyeballing it that looks similar to the distance from Turkey to Italy. I couldn't find much on the time it took for ancient trade routes, but I did see mention that the Romans could traverse the entire Mediterranean in 1 month.

A Roman trading vessel could span the Mediterranean in a month at one-sixtieth the cost of over-land routes.[11]

So 2-3 weeks at sea doesn't seem unreasonable.

Oh yeah, another thing I thought about last night was how Yunkai and Astapor were back to slave states? In at least one (but maybe both), the whole point (I thought) was that the slaves picked up swords and revolted, killing their owners and masters and whatnot. So if that happened, then how did they fall to their masters again and revert back to slave states?
Also, I couldn't have been the only one hoping that someone would kick Robin out of the moon door when he was standing by it.

They had a power vacuum and nobody stepped up.

I thought it was interesting that he made a point to point it out and it seemed to make quite an impression on Sansa. Also, that seems like a ridiculous thing to leave open most of the time.

That kid comes across as a sociopath, I really hope him and his ugly arse mom die soon.

I thought the same thing. I was like "I guess they'll have to either point to it and explain it to her or they'll have to open it and show her." But nope, it's just chilling open as shite in the middle of the room.

And unlike the Greeks, most Romans hated the water and were sailors out of necessity - most of the other Mediterranean civilizations generally liked the water, naval service and maritme trading.

I also found it interesting when LF was telling Sansa about the bloody gate and how no army had ever penetrated The Veil. Not a bad place to be if shite goes sideways and people start coming after you.

So were we supposed to take from the sword fighting practice scene with Arya and the Hound that Ned didn't really get her a sword fighting teacher and he really was a dance instructor or some shite?
No....

And when pointing out that it needed to be used properly, it sounded like he was patting himself on the back for something he was going to be doing in the future.

I definitely think that played a part in why Littlefinger has played his hand and ended up there. He's basically in the safest place in Westeros, and can do his bidding from there.

I must have missed it, why are they going to Castle Black?
Because Brienne isn't very smart. River Run, The Eyrie, and Highgarden would all make more sense. And Castle Black is waaaay farther than all of them.

By the time he cut the deal with Joffrey, LF had everything he needed to become King - except an army. And, at the Eyrie, he doesn't need an army to hold it - just a small but capable force (which he is obviously building.) He can take his time to build the "offensive" army, relatively invulnerable to attack until then.
However, he is at his best when he is out and about - he will have to rely on his minions to keep him informed if he holes up there for the long haul.
Also, who will have the best chance to take the Eyrie? Dany with the dragons, right?

Agreed.
And once he marries Lysa, she can "mysteriously die" at some point and he'd still be king I believe. So he'd just sit back and rule from his impenetrable fortress, hoping (I assume) that Sansa turns and eventually loves/marries him, giving him control of the North.

I guess, but LF did say that it's never been taken. Which means that the Targaryen's and their dragons didn't take it previously.

I think so. Attack from the air is probably the only option to take it

I mean, the dragons will always be the #1 threat. Why? Because dragons. But in terms of who could realiztically take it over (from a human perspective), Dany's 8,000 Unsullied would be strong. But that's assuming she ever gets her lazy arse to Westeros seeing as how she's content right now as just being queen of Slaver's Bay (ugh).
The wildlings could end up continuing south if the WWs are threatening, and between them, the Thenns, the giants, etc, they don't fight like most normal men, so they could mix things up a bit and have a chance.
IMO the best bet would be something from within. So maybe someone LF aligns himself with gains entry to the Vale and then plots an overtaking from the inside out.

Considering his close relationship to the family he could probably become King Regent. I don't think he'd have any legal claim to the throne though. It's not like Tyrion could marry Sansa, kill her and then north becomes Lannister territory. Popping out an heir uniting the blood lines was needed to secure the north.

This is exactly what LF is doing right now. I doubt he'd fall for this tomfoolery.

This is true, but he could pull a Tywin and just run things while a kid is on the throne. That psycho kid really likes him, so he could basically do what he wants.
