Not sure if I believe that theory; I think they're both different people.

I would kind of like Syrio to be Jaquen also. Because they are/were both pretty cool characters. But that would raise some questions.
If Syrio was a faceless man, what was his mission? Was there someone in King's landing he was supposed to kill? Did he do it? Who hired him.
And for that matter, what was Jaquen's mission? He was in the black cells before they started off for the wall. Was there someone in in the cells or the wall that he was supposed to kill? Who and who hired him?

We know he's at the Citadel now; perhaps learning about dragons and how to kill them?

I've had a Crackpot theory that Varys sent Jaquen to the Wall to kill Jon since he knows Ned will tell him his true heritage and make Jon a threat to Varys' plans. However, once he became Lord Commander, the price on his head spiked.

I think Syrio is gone, yall are overthinking his importance

IMO Jaquen is way more important than Syrio.

Who would have the better reappearance Benjen, or Syrio? I say Benjen just for the explanation of where he has been.
One thing I give the show credit for is how they expose the different fighting styles, and how it is tough to say one is better then the other. For example, in GoT we see the value of Dothraki's horses and the lack of armor. We also see the Bravossi style as being a well-trained art form. The last episode we see the value of armor over style ( there are other examples). Very soon we will see the value of a poisoned spear. I just believe the show has done a good job of highlighting the fighting techniques in the books.

Benjen. He has a future purpose, but Syrio would merely be fan service.

Definitely Benjen...we're still waiting for him to reappear with info about the Others.

Benjen's purpose has been as long in coming as winter.

Is late 2015 still in the realm of possibility for TWoW?

Will never be finished in time

I'm thinking June of 2015.

I think June/July 2015 would be the best in terms of marketing...releasing the book within 1-2 months of Season 5 ending will keep people hooked.

Doubly so if Beric Dondarrion was his favorite secondary character. (If you don't know what that means you shouldn't be in this thread
