i hope they're saving it for later.
Will be perfect after the Moon Door scene.

Is it just me or is this series all over the place with the books. It's like they're skipping around and picking events. It's not linear.
And then some of it is taking literary license and completely inventing up events.
Brother of the Prince of Dorne's character I don't remember being gay. Dude had a paramore and a bunch of sandsnakes. I'm completely confused by his character. He was supposed to be big and a warrior. Known for poison. Now it's like...oh, he studied poison in like an offhanded comment.
For me, the show did an excellent job adapting the Red Viper from book to show. In terms of casting, acting, directing, etc. I think this one was one of the better. I would'nt put it up there with the very top tier adaptations like the Hound, Jamie Arya or Tywin. But still way up there. Especially for a secondary (or maybe a better word would be temporary) character.

This. I did picture him with long hair though.

That's because those were perfect. Those will forever be 1A. A lot of really good casting in this show. Only one I have hated has been the 2nd Mountain.

Ok, I have a question about the Lysa/Littlefinger reveal about Jon Arryn. Was that in one of the books? I don't remember that at all. If it was in the books, can someone tell me where so that I can look it up and try to figure out how I possibly missed that?

they don't beat you over the head with it as if you're a retard like they did on the show. it's right after the snow castle scene. lysa is hysterical and slips it

I remember that scene and it was an amazing way to close out ASOS. Kinda bummed it was presented like that in the show.

I have the same suspicions.. I don't recall ever seeing him come out and say he was reading the books at any point though. and wouldn't one of the resident whistleblowers in that thread be all over him?

That's another thing. They have Lysa come out and recognize her niece. If I remember correctly, she didn't know who the hell she was. She was disguised. And that kid was much more of a weirdo than he was portrayed last episode.
I don't like it. They made it seem Lysa was cooperative in her hiding when she was just ignorant.

yes, it was truly masterful. a great cliffhanger that had you going back and trying to see what else he had his paws on

yes. lysa had never seen sansa before in the books. needless changes. i guess they want you to think lysa is more important than she is

Speaking of....we haven't even seen the 3rd mountain yet this season. I was hoping they would have built him up a little more by now or at least shown his face.

they have failed tremendously in this regard.
i remember my heart dropping when kevan lannister tells tyrion that cersei planned ahead and chose the mountain. half hte retards wont even remember him

Mother frick just got selected for a jury. Hope this frick head chooses trial by combat
Posted on 5/6/14 at 4:48 pm to Carson123987
I'm wondering when the frick we're going to see him. Has to be this episode when we are re-introduced to him and Oberyn volunteers, right??
The show has done a shitty job with the Mountain for sure.

Ok, I found the passage. I don' know how I managed to miss that twice.

Never mentioned him being big in the books. Was know as a very formidable warrior and based on his flipping around fighting the mountain in the previews, they will portray him as such in the show.
Yeah, I actually imagined the Red Viper to be fairly short, like 5'7.

Similar situation was the LF reveal. They have to pretty much just come out and say it.
It's just that scene was so, so effective in the book. It's just Lysa at her absolute low point, and then Littlefinger says the exact wrong word that he shouldn't of said, and then Lysa completely goes off. That wouldn't add more than 30 seconds to the Moon Door scene, so I don't know why they were that pressed for time, especially since it's one of the most pivotal moments in the book and is a complete game changer with what happened in the previous books. You can't read Game of Thrones the same when Littlefinger is helping Ned find out who Jon Arryn's murderer is when Littlefinger himself is the murderer. He would have been safer off going to Cersei with this information than Littlefinger.

you think oberyn will volunteer this episode? i feel like it's trial and things look like shite and then after the shocking events in Mockingbird, that's the ray of light at the end
