anyone catch the power lines in this scene?
Very interesting.
I grew up in Houston and they had these kinda bloopers on the morning newscasts. Ex: satellite dishes on top of a building in a 17th Cent era film.

I don't know what it is, but there's just something about Meera that does it for me.
I definitely want to show her my Weirwood tree and let her eat my paste.

I bet with more egg whites it could have been more like a Quiche and it would have had a better presentation, but the ingredients sound good.
That was our assessment as well. More egg whites. Everything is an experiment though, so we have fun.

For as untracked as this seemed to be after last week, the ship appears to be back on a more familiar course (albeit, with some characters noticeably absent).
It was a really good episode and I really enjoyed the interplay between the characters in the "sides" stories (Pod/Brienne; Hound/Arya). I think Sergio is going to reappear in Braavos once Arya gets there.
Keep in mind that by all accounts, GRRM has a lot of control over where the story goes. This means any major divergences likely need his blessing. Nothing to say that he's not allowing his story to be "tweaked" by D & D because he thinks their vision may be an improvement in certain instances.

The Brienne/Pod thing to me is too much comedy stuff for the show. I know they kind of did a little bit with Tyrion/Pod/Bronn before, but this is constant humor. The Hound/Arya has pieces of it, but enough cool serious stuff to keep it more interesting.
Granted, Brienne's story has never done it for me

then they totally redeem themselves with insanely awesome Bran/Hodor action.
Why didn't Bran just warg into Locke and stab himself in the eye?

why didn't Bran just warg into Karl and kill that other guy and free everyone?
we can play the "why didn't Bran do this" game all day.

its alot easier for him to warg into Hodor because of his simple mind. If he was to warg into a human no telling the results

Actually this isn't true at all. GRRM has said repeatedly he has no control over the content of the show other than the one episode he writes a year and even then it is edited to what D&D want. He has even said they have made changes that surprised him and he was not consulted about. He's cool with it because he used to be a screenwriter but he sees the show and his books as separate things.

Why didn't bran just warg into Joffrey and make him say "I'm a bastard, Robb is King"?

There was actually a bit of that in the books with Pod and Brienne, two characters who are themselves a bit awkward thrown into an even more awkward situation. So far I think I've only picked up one "Sir Milady" in the show. The approach that they've taken allows D&D to establish the dynamic between Pod/Brienne using a small amount of screen time versus how it was built more slowly over several chapters in the books. They've remained fairly true to the spirit of that relationship and, as another poster mentioned, it has a bit of a Dunk and Egg feel to it as well.

Definitely agree. I enjoyed the Brienne/Pod scene and her story is going to translate a lot better on screen than it did in Feast.

Wildling warg did it with no problems, right? Also, there is talks of it being done in the books and the notion that it's a serious sin to do so. So clearly it's doable.

Mentioned this before, but the more I think about it, the more I think that taking Bran all the way to Bloodraven this season could solve several problems for the show:
1. Expands Bran's POV while the others catch up
2. Expanding Bran's POV also adds more material to stretch the show while GRRM catches up
3. Provides a vehicle to fill in the backstory through flashbacks. They'll need to be more detailed than the ones that they've already shown, though. You could fill half of an episode with The Knight of the Laughing Tree. They'll also need the TOJ, backstory on Bloodraven, etc. We'll have to watch for any casting clues for Rheagar and Lyanna for season 5. They may need to bring back Sean Bean as well.
