I could seriously give two fricks.
I watch the show man. The onion knight doesn't have to know it. He's asking for help wherever he can get it to help his broke dick king. They referenced the bank of bravos. In an early episode this season obviously foreshadowing it.
A theory is a theory. I've been wrong plenty.
Just saw you're the owner of the non reader thread and you're obviously on guard. Down boy, I'm not reading those obscenely long books and fricking up the awesome show they've got going. Maybe in a few years.

None of that has anything to do with Davos or Stannis. Most likely, he's asking for a loan since he told Stannis he's trying to get them money.

how would the onion knight know this?
It has been established throughout the series that there are not many secrets in Westeros.
Example: Two schlub Lannister soldiers who pulled the night shift on watch were talking about Renly being "stabbed" in the arse many times by Ser Loras Tyrell. How would a couple of foot soldiers know that?
It is not out of the realm of possibility that people know that Kings' Landing is in debt to its eyeballs to the Iron Bank and the Lannisters. And since the Lannisters run Kings' Landing, they are in debt to the Iron Bank.

and it took tyrion actually looking at the books to find this out. how would davos know this secret?

it was well established, as far back as season 1, that his reputation was that of a "sword swallower"

and i'm sure they can pay it off, if they had to. and i have no idea why they'd be like, "oh yeah stannis, we'll go wage war on the kingdom, using you. we totally trust you. and since you have all of that money as collateral, we know if you win you'll pay us back"
it makes no sense. at all.

Btw did anyone else think Jamie was about to push Jofferys body off that alter and use it?

Something that seems to have sailed over people's heads was Walder Frey's name getting added to a list nobody wants to frickin be on.
I must of missed his name being brought up. What was it?

That guy who took the hound and arya in was talking about the sacrilege walder Frey committed (the red wedding) when they were eating dinner. She knows who's responsible now.

she was at his castle watching his men kill stark men and robb's direwolf. THEN she stumbled upon some frey soldiers bragging about being the guy who sewed the wolf's head to his body. if she didn't already know frey was involved, she's a fricking retard

Yeah she definitely already knew ole Walder was responsible for the red wedding

You're right. It was probably there for no reason just like the bank of bravos stuff.
Whether she knew or not, first time his name's been mentioned to her on screen.

who do you think arya thought killed her brother, when she was physically at the castle and saw frey's men kill his direwolf?

The Iron Bank is gonna be a huge player in the plot.
They have been setting this up forever.

I just rewatched the scene. Arya shows no sign of shock or even any interest just beyond what the man's opinion is. I think it was just thrown in there to kinda tell how big a deal what Frey did was to the traditional Westeros customs.
It's not totally unimportant but in the context of Arya and the Hound's journey it is.

plus it set up the hound's betrayal, which isn't the same sort of betrayal, but it made the inevitable robbery seem that much more thuggish ruggish bone.

...only to be shown the raw emotional idiocy of the belief and our initial thoughts

Then put its head on the body. That whole wedding scene was a surprise. Have any weddings on this show went well and ended well?

They seriously do an awesome job of that. I've rewatched the seasons several times knowing what I do now and it makes you feel stupid you didn't put it together beforehand.
Like when the hound told arya at the twins she was afraid she wouldn't make it. That she was so close and wouldn't get to Robb and her mom. Never occurred to me that she wouldn't.

Technically Robb's wedding went pretty well.
