Is that the appropriate thing to do? Probably, IMO it is for sure. However it's not our place to police them. We're to talk about the series not try to control what other posters do in other threads.

If they cross the line the admins will take care of them. That's what they're here for.

We all know what to do. Lets just drop it.

So, looks like Mormont bites it this episode. Hope Sam becomes the slayer. Also looking forward to Dany unleashing hell on the slavers.

Alright then, well my apologies for holding up the discussion. I'll back off it from now on.

I'm starting to worry this isn't going to happen.

I mean seriously. If some of us choose to respect their wishes and stay in this thread then fine that's your choice. If another decides he has a non-spoiler comment to make over there then that's also his choice. We're all big boys and girls here we are plenty capable of making our own decisions. The last thing we need, and it's getting pretty annoying quite frankly, are people running around as self-imposed policemen/peace keepers. All that does is contribute to the shittyness of this thread. /rant

Rant away.

I find it inconceivable that people cannot contain themselves and feel they must post in there. I think book readers should honor their wishes and stay out.

last I'll post on it.

I'm worried about that as well. It's a huge moment in the development of his character. It HAS to happen

That would sincerely suck. Poor boy needs some redemption. They also need to introduce the concept of dragonglass being able to kill Others.

Yeah, they should change the title to "And now Mormont's watch is ended".

I agree. I'd argue it even "makes" his character. Its probably the single most defining moment in what type of person he becomes. I've generally been on board on almost every change they've made from the books to the movies, but this IMO, would be unacceptable.

The only change I really have a problem with so far this season is changing jons "did you see where they sat the bastard" speech.

That really made you question which side Jon was really on and for a while there i don't even think he knew for sure

It was certainly one of the better speech moments in the book, so I have no reason why they did away with it. Especially because changing things for TV always revolves around saving money. Changing the wording wouldn't have made a difference.

I have the theme song in my head and hummed it all week.

I think I'm going to splurg and get a pizza for this awesome episode.

Our first big one of the season. Not a bad idea.

Yeah, my other issue is Ghost as well. I don't really get why they have him going around with Sam. I guess it's not a huge issue since he would have to leave him at the wall anyway, but still kinda a weird thing.

Yeah I'm not sure about that either. I know Ghost just disappeared until Jon got back. Maybe they didn't want to the viewers thinking he was abandoned?
