Yeah! Someone made a thread whining about how there's been no sex scenes this season. Finally get to see Jon .

so watched the episode recap for the past episode which is basically the previously seen intro for next weeks

Watch it before reading my thoughts since I was surprised at some clips.

LINK

some interesting clips:
Tyrion Sansa wedding will definitely be a go
Will get some Davos/ Stannis screen time now that the red bitch is away
Karstark going on a lannister killing spree
Also they show Ned calling out Robert for wanting to kill Dany basing his source on Jorah - Will we see some sewer diving before Jorah gets banished

Hopefully, looks like old Barry may get a pass from sewer duty.

Seriously I love this show/these books. But how do y'all maintain a 40 page episode thread when we have a huge Spoilers thread already

?

One thread is to talk about the episodes from a book reader perspective (this one) but focuses on the show primarily.

One thread is to talk about future crackpot theories (crackpot thread) Which is book only.

One thread is to talk about episode and book info up to the current episode (middle ground thread)

One thread is for art (art thread)

One thread is for the non book readers who want a thread for themselves.

Each thread is needed.

But which thread is the One Thread to Rule Them All?

Just watched the episode again. Love it when Tywin tells Cersei, "I don't distrust you because you're a woman. I distrust you because you're not as smart as you think you are." Tywin dropping truths like bombs.

Agreed. IMO the threads are necessary because you have the book spoilers, the crackpot thread, then the reasonable middle ground crew who don't mind background info and actually pay attention, then a couple of Hodors who control the non reader thread and think that any character background, even if it took place before the first book/season events (like Robert's Rebellion) is spoilers.

Hodor!!

If GRRM really wanted to piss off fans, Hodor would be AA and sit on the throne at the end of the series...

Hodor!!

I think I'll start using this one in real life. Next time someone pisses me off in the office, "HODOR".

It's a very flexible word.

Someone says something puzzling - Hodor?

A hot chick walks by - Hodor (said seductively of course)

Something exciting happens - Hodor!

It has about as many uses as "Dude".

If "How you doin'" can work for Joey, I don't see where Hodor can go wrong.

She may thing you said "Ho door" and go back to your house. Or she could slap you. Either way, you've gotten your answer.

I use it at work. Confuses the hell out of people.

"Hey, bottomland, what needs changing in this rendering?"

"Hodor."

"huh?"

"Hodor."

"Stop it. That's from that stupid misogynistic show, isn't it?"

"Hodor"

"Uhg"

"But no, really, change that rendering. Looks terrible."

Yep, Tywin definitely telling it like it is but in Cercei's defense she got no support from the male figures other than Tyrion. Joffrey obviously has no respect for women (inherited from Robert) and if Tywin and Jamie expected Cersei to be able to manage him, they should have nipped Joffrey's attitude in the bud early on. Granted, Margery is starting to have a positive influence on Joffrey as suggested by Tywin. Yea, come to think of it, Cersei definitely hasn't earned any parenting awards.

And BTW, just an awesome episode with Daenerys asserting herself, great animation on the dragon and the exchange between Twywin and Cercei, Margery and Joffrey, and Varys and Margery's grandmother.

I just hope they can keep Dany interesting now. I loved this part in the books, the next so many Dany chapters sucked.
