They were plotting to marry her to Loras' brother. Willas, I believe, was his name.

nonbook readers are actually thinking Dany will make her way to Westeros in the next couple of episodes.

Wow, that may have one-upped Blackwater. Best or second best episode of the series. Simply incredible. Every scene was gold. Varys capturing the sorcerer who gelded him is fricking awesome (as was his delivery of his backstory).
I really liked Theon's speech to Ramsay and how he was at first trying to convince himself he was ironborn, but then coming to the conclusion he was a Stark.
I would think even the non-readers now are rooting for Jaime.
Queen of Thorns and Margeary were great in this episode.
Loved that Tywin called out Cersei on her crazy bullshite. Tywin is a glacier, while Cersei is wildfire. Really I think, even under Tyrion, he had the least respect and opinion of Cersei. He realized Tyrion had his uses and was him in minature form, but Casei is merely a younger, female, and (for the time being) a more sane version of Aerys.
The coup at Crasters was great as well, but I wish they had Mormont give some parting words to Sam about Sam making it back to the Wall and to tell his son to join the Watch.
And of course Dany and the Unsullied was done perfectly. And I'm missing a few other things I loved about this episode. Just great.

Yeah, one comment was made that Dany would soon be wrecking shite in Westeros.
Yeah....No.
Yeah....No.

Was the varys sorceror thing in the books? Dont remember that.
YES, but in Clash of Kings... almost word for word the explanation of how he got cut by dark magic.

Damn. Didn't see Mormont's death coming. But that's the whole point. Watch someone else bite it that shouldn't. Like Robb or Tyrion.
This post in the Illiterati thread is either epic trolling or great foreshadowing of the meltdown that is coming after episode 9.

I think it did. Blackwater, while significant doesn't have as many story arcs that were perfectly done as was tonights episode. The whole Theon thing was perfect as was Jamie and Brienne. The burning of Astapor was as good as any reader could have hoped.

Still pissed there is no Strong Belwas.

ng that go down on the show just makes me even more disappointed in how Dany's story flounders later
Yes, it is just such a shame that she's such a puss

WTF is going on with the Pod storyline? Him being the biggest pimp in the universe wasn't in the books and I'm not sure where they are going with it.

Too hard to incorporate. Love the avi switch.

I was going to say, they definitely talked about sending her off to Highgarden. I couldn't remember how though.
They first talked about her going to Highgarden as a sort of "vacation", and then sprung the Willas marriage on her. I want to see her face when she goes from thinking she is marrying Loras to marrying Willas, and then the Queen of Thorns making fun of her because Loras is KG, so he cannot marry. Would be a huge plot hole to have her marrying Loras in the show.
I also don't remember in the book that Varys was part of setting up the Sansa/Willas marriage. Did that happen?

Comedic value for the show. Perhaps foreshadowing later for more valiant efforts for saving Tyrion.

I can't help but giggle and feel sorry every time I see someone in the non-reader's thread talk about Dany in Westeros. I hope iluv enjoys the high she is on right now because she's going to lose her shite once Robb and Birgitte hook up and Dany sits on her arse for the next few years.
My guess is that Sam the Slayer will happen on the run back to The Wall.

Willas hasn't been shown. Loras gave Sansa the red rose at The Hand's Tournament. Makes sense for show viewers.

Holy shite, I've been waiting for the scene where dany weeks shite for so long

Yeah, the whole marrying Loras thing didn't make sense especially as a Kingsguard.
Plus, wouldn't he make Sansa do things that wouldn't possibly result in children (as Margaery put it when talking to Joffrey about Renley)?

My bet is that it's going to be Cersei-related. Like she found out and paid the gals off so they can start getting information about Tyrion's plans from Pod. This could then lead to Shae and all that follows.

Hasn't been made one yet. Sure you aren't a reader?
