But then D&D fricked it up by having them both live after the battle while somehow completely overwhelmed and trapped inside fighting. Then Jaime decides, nah frick it, I’ll take that long road back down south to my true love that I just recently turned on and travelled far away to get away from.

It ruined both the story arcs. What should have happened is Jaime makes her a knight, Brienne saves Jaime during the battle and dies. Jaime survives, gives her a Knight’s funeral or some symbolic gesture and goes down to King’s Landing and somehow manages to kill Cersei. Not hold her in his fricking arms and have both of them killed by falling bricks

I could've reconciled them both surviving the battle and finally being together, if when Jaime had left for King's Landing he then died killing Ceresi.

As for the last season, there were some things I liked and some I didn't. I was ok with Jon Snow going back beyond the wall. That's where he was most at peace with himself.

I don't blame D&D as much as I do GRRM for dicking around with his writing knowing they were better off with source material to follow. They were likely given the impression, like all of the rest of us who have been reading for years now, that the book series would be finished (or close enough so they'd have material) by the end. He's probably writing another fricking cookbook in quarantine.

Her burning down kings landing was always going to happen and could have been amazing. They totally botched it though

The last 2 seasons should have been 10 episodes and have this happen at the beginning of the last season and then actually have her rule as a tyrant for the rest of the season until her demise.

I didn’t mind the actual arc of her character, but the way they just rushed it in an episode and a half was awful.

Season 7 was way too rushed but I still somewhat enjoyed it. Wasn’t great but whatever

Eh I am with the season 7 sucked arse crowd and I am glad for it. Really made the last season more enjoyable when I had zero expectations

Arya was so well trained throughout her time

Idk why people act like jon snow had to kill or she couldn't of been smart to enough to the ol blade drop open belly and stick em
Lol come on man. That shite was stupid.

I'm not even upset that Arya killed the NK (i mean it didn't make much sense but oh well). I'm more upset that she was able to sneak past an army of dead in a silent grove and yeet herself into the air to kill NK while he's surrounded by his elite officers.

That's some Metal Gear Solid S++ mission grade shite

eta: I think Cersei dying to a pile of rocks pissed me off more than anything else

I'm upset on the fact that years of foreshadowing was for absolutely nothing. They mention Azor Ahai almost every single episode from Seasons 2-6, and Arya doesn't remotely fit any of the prophesy. But I guess Dumb and Dumber kind of forgot about Azor Ahai, but they certainly didn't forget that one time Melisandre said "blue eyes" to Arya.

By the time this scene happened towards the start of the episode, who cares about that? Cersei was on borrowed time anyway and only drank wine and fricked the final two seasons.

Watch the Happy Days clip where the term jump the shark originated from. Fonzi wearing his leather jacket literally jumps a shark while water skiing.
