Finally got the wife to watch the first 2 episodes. She jumped immediately to the same questions your wife did.

Fack, I was watching the series on OnDemand (because I dont have HBO) and now it wont let me view any premium channels. Guess I have to order HBO tomorrow.. Anywhere I can watch it online tonight?

Just ordered the first book for my kindle
I don't know why other women don't like this series. 2 episodes in and I can tell this is gonna be another great series from HBO.

My wife doesn't typically like Fantasy or Sci Fi. Since LotR, Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia she has warmed up to them some. She's still not ready for Dune, Battlefied Earth and others though.

I'm not really a Fantasy or Sci Fi person either to be honest. But I loved LotR, HP, and Narnia(have read LotR and HP series already). Narnia series is def on my list to read as well(I think C.S. Lewis is just an amazing author in general, his nonfiction is great as well).

That's great your wife enjoyed it. My girlfriend enjoyed LotR movies, I thought I'd work on getting to watch BSG but that'd be too much to try I think. I got her hooked on the wire and playing portal 2, I'm more than content.
She never reads at all though. I'm glad you are getting into it nurse.

Yeah that is a given. Funny, I get more upset when animals are killed off on these shows than people
What a beautiful animal too.

Best episode thus far by far

I really wanted more Wall scenes
Good to finally see Old Nan, and Syrio was done well, that's how I always pictured him.
We get to see the Tournament next episode and Fat Sam, pretty cool.

Well, I was a little disappointed in episode 3. They hardly showed the fairy looking girl at all! I like John Snow and I'm glad they are starting to explain this wall thing a little more. And the nanny watching Bran was also helpful in helping me understand why some of these characters have not ever seen winter. Apparently Bran and his younger sister were both born during summers that lasted years?

Yea seasons last years. Kinda slow episode, and still no Ghost

I am starting to get pissed about not seeing Ghost
