I think it will make the series not as epic. This is not because I think Dany is not a good ruler. I think it would make the show too predictable.

Possibly but the journey is every bit as important as the destination. I for one have no problem with a lucid Targaryen reclaiming the thrown. Daenerys Targaryen would be a good and just ruler IMHO but the slave traders will always be against her. I can easily see this culminating in an East vs West confrontation in the aftermath of Dany taking the thrown in Westeros.

I know he can't rule, but I want to see Tyrion win out. By far my favorite character and the only one that would be a fair/just ruler. His time as hand of the king, just showed how he was made to be the guy. Maybe if he can get back with Sansa and rally support from the North and the Vale (msp?), plus Stannis and the nights watch. Plus Dorne would probably back him too. Stannis becomes King, Tyrion becomes hand of the King and Jon Snow is made a true Stark (like Ramsey Bolton), then warden of the North. Tyrion is given his father's land/castle. Something like that..

I just re-watched season 4 again and hate Dany. She is a bitch. I can't see her winning. It just seems like it's all going to fall apart around here..

Dany has zero chance of winning it imo. Based on grrm's writing style, I don't see it happening. He has come out and say outcomes that happen based on planning is too cliche.

I think the most "obvious" ending of course (since it seems to be the most speculated ending) is Dany, Jon, and Tyrion all aligning at the end, and I actually wouldn't mind if that happened. I guess have Dany & Jon align through marriage, and have Tyrion be The Hand. In that scenario I'd be ok with Dany being on the Iron Throne with Jon.

I seriously don't want Dany and Jon to be a couple. Personally, I think Jon would think she's a stupid bitch with a vicious temper and a huge superiority complex. I don't think Jon would be all that attracted to her. He likes his chicks to have a bit of spunk to them, and Dany has none of that.

Jon has had the chance to be with one girl ever. I'd hardly judge his taste based on that psycho bitch.

Jon Snow knows one thing, but Ygrette won't be telling anyone.

But I have abandoned the Hodors to their ignorance and paranoia - I was making sure before I chimed in.

GoT spoiling is on par with racial insensitivity on TD.com - you get banned with the quickness if you don't tread lightly in those areas.

This is a popular sentiment, but I can't endorse it. Anyone who has read even half of GoT is smarter and more plugged in than pure Hodor watchers - at least their Westeros IQ.

Our not knowing what is going to happen doesn't even scratch what actual Hodors don't know what happened, even when they watched it. I'd pull up a couple of links from last year's Hodor thread, but it isn't worth the effort.

Suffice it to say, the fact you're able to form the argument you just did makes you not a Hodor.

Crap - I didn't realize that was you - well, of course you know what I'm talking about - I remember you from those threads.

Remember how readers were pretty much excluded from the "Middle Ground" thread? Then it got to be a battle between the dumb and dumber Hodors?

I was still in the "middle" then too, and was trying not go get heavily spoiled on the books at that point (intending to catch up before this season) - well, apparently speculating, based on what one had read, but had not yet happened in the series OR THE BOOKS, but remembering it and piecing together theories - was "spoilerish".

So, I left the middle ground thread, too, which should just be labeled "Hodor Lite" if they have it again this year.
