The female officer with the lovable loser husband (except this one isn't lovable, seemingly)..and I'm not sure she has the gravitas to pull it off.
They all come with a twist and get turned on their head. I like it.

No. None of it is true. The daughter acts like a tomboy. She is female and is referred to as "her" or "she." Nothing tranny about it.
Not one person in that family with the exception of the mother wants to hold a gun for the Christmas picture. Even then, the mother is not a gun nut. The picture, according to her, is to project strength. There is zero passion for guns.

People are so obsessed that they can't enjoy shows or movies any more because of a tomboy twelve year old or a couple of rifles.
That being said, that was a difficult first episode to stomach. The sheer amount of suspension of disbelief this series requires of the viewer is staggeringly over-the-top.

Sure, but isn’t the whole style of Fargo based on exaggeration. That’s just going to be part of the ride.
