Friends is the story of Ross slowly being driven insane by a bunch of perpetual stuck in high school grown up kids.

Never saw it when it came out, but watched it when I started dating my wife bc she loved the show.
This was a funny one to me because my wife was 1000% team Rachel until she asked me what I thought about the episode. Was more of a curious to see if I’ll blindly agree w the guy because guys stick together than a relationship barometer thing.
Told her before I answer, we should rewatch from when Ross wakes up until Rachel’s at his door. Had her sympathetic for Ross when I said see how are the “on a break” if she wants to be his gf again; and oh by the way Ross was raped (copy girl wasn’t that drunk).

what a horrendous take.
Ross is one of the better characters and Phoebe is one of the worst major characters in a popular sitcom I've ever seen. She is absolutely awful. I don't even understand how someone could enjoy phoebe and hate ross. Like it doesn't make any rational sense.

It's weird though that it's supposedly cool to now say it sucks...when and where did that come from?
Obviously anyone that was around for the 90s can attest that friends was GIGANTIC back then as it was airing. Not quite seinfeld levels but still huge. It's strange that 20 years later there's facitons of people crapping on it. The only thing I can guess is that it started from millenials or GenZs that were in elementary school (or even worse...not even born yet) during the original run that are watching some reruns now and simply not getting it
