Like what? I know the term MMA wasn't even coined until UFC came around.

Tough Guy Competition. But more famous, the Gracie Challenge.

I'd probably have a break down too if people thought for some reason i was having a homosexual relationship with the guy that shot my brother behind the head

Wait, he wasn't? I saw the movie and am not very familiar with the true life story. The movie surely alluded to that being the case.

Well done movie, but it gave me the creeps. I may need to binge watch the Office so I can view Steve Carrell without thinking of Du Pont.

I haven't seen any allegations involving Schultz being sexually harassed by DuPont. There was another coach at Villanova (where Schultz did most of his coaching for DuPont) who sued DuPont for sexual harassment.

quote:

Mark explains in his book that du Pont took credit for creating a wrestling move called the “Foxcatcher Five,” which consisted of “grabbing someone’s balls with five fingers.” Mark writes that he “should have reported John to the athletic director.” Outside of that, another coach at Villanova charged in 1988 that he was fired because he refused “to submit to homosexual advances” from du Pont, according to Philadelphia Daily News report from the time.

My guess is that those interviews were before he saw the finished product. I saw his interview where he raved about Tatum and Carrel and how he showed Tatum his wrestling moves.

Plus, he's probably now getting questions from people about the movie's suggested gay advances from DuPont, which I'm sure makes him uncomfortable.
