The film would have been a lot better if it was just the Duvall-Favreau storyline the whole time.

This movie grew on me big time. Saw it in theaters when it first came out, and didn't think it was bad but also not noteworthy. Me and the wife watched it while wrapping presents about 4 years ago, and now it's a mandatory tradition watch every year. Love it.

Not sure about that, but Favreau has some great scenes.
The one with him and Katy Mixon as his wife when they play Taboo...that is absolute gold.

It’s hilarious and definitely relatable in terms of trying to appease everyone during the holiday season.
