Bumping this as I caught up last night.
I'm not sure I enjoyed that finale. It had some really good parts, especially on Trantor, but the reveal of Bayta as the real Mule was kind of bullshite. The skydive from the space station? I can suspend some belief, but really? Demerzel's death was kind of infuriating as well. And why did Gaal bail on Vault Hari like that? I know she thinks Hari 2.0 is dead, but she still could have tried to help Vault Hari.
My boy Day got done dirty. He's been my favorite Day, and to have him meet his end at Dusk's hands like that was heartbreaking.
I also have a problem from earlier in the season where Demerzel does not know about the super weapon. I thought she audited Empire's memories?

The trap for Demerzel was lame. The baby wasn't the only option for continuing the genetic dynasty. She could have over-powered Night and used his DNA or Day's to make more clones.

She's a robot with basically superpowers. Surely she had enough time to grab the baby and take Dusk down. Instead, she falls on the grenade. It's just hard to believe something with her compute power came to that as the best solution.

100%. The scene with the gun was epic.
This game was not meant for you, William

Just finished it. Wow. Overall, the season was pretty damn good and better than the first two.
Like how they handled the Mule. Some don't like how they made Bayta the Mule BUT in the books, the same deception is carried out but with Magnifico being the Mule in disguise as he was a deformed, feeble-minded jester of sorts.
Did Dawn eventually die in that space station?
It is interesting how they had the two foundations meet in the open as they did. It was much more combative in the books and there was a Cold War of sorts between the two. I thought how Asimov resolved it with his stupid communist Gaia BS was just that, BS. It will be curious to see how they resolve the two foundations.
Did the Cleon dynasty end? Dusk told his help he will be around for awhile. He has a super weapon and no Damizel to hold him back.
I too liked this version of Day and can't believe Dusk killed him as he did. It is rather surprising Dusk took the turn he did as I thought their genetic programming instilled in them a command to preserve the genetic dynasty.
Killing off Demizel was they did was indeed weak. She couldn't push the baby out of the way? The only option was to land on the grenade?
Then there are the robots of the moon. In the books, the earth is still there but uninhabitable. Daneel Olivaw lives on the moon. It will be interesting to see if they have been manipulating things all along as in the books, they had similar powers to the Second Foundation but greater.
Great series. Great production. It should be getting more attention than it does.
Dear Nolans: THIS is how you write a science fiction series, not that meandering crap you produced in Westworld.
