I don't know anything about blacksmithing, but I find this show interesting. I always appreciate people who can craft things with their hands.

I’m addicted to it. Makes me want to learn how to do it but my fat arse would be sweating way too much.
Crazy what they have to use to make them with at the beginning of the competition.

I learned about it a few weeks ago and can't get enough of it.

Only wish they showed a bit more of the process from start to finish. I need to find a documentary on smithing.

Yep. Especially if a person doesn't have a power hammer.

It's one of my favorite shows. I do wish they showed a bit of the overall process, and more of the smithing, and less of the judging, but it's very interesting to me.

I recently got into custom knife collecting and then started to watch this show. It's great and the whole family likes to watch it together.

Check out Alex Steele's youtube channel. He's a blacksmith in England who produces a daily 15-20 minute video of him making shite in his forge. The last year or so he has focused on knives and swords. Right now he is making a flail. He produces extremely high quality finished products. The series on him making a katana was about 15 episodes long and the result was impressive. does a ton of damascus work.

I had surgery last May and sat around catching up on old shows and watching new ones for about a week. This was heavy in the rotation. The competition part is good but I liked the process more as well. When they show them at their own forge and it is more personal.

We watched a couple episodes of the FIF: Knife or Death version Sunday. It was interesting to see the different blade styles & how each held up.
