One article claimed he fired the entire writing staff after the end of every season of the Flash. That actually explains a lot.

quote:

19 women and men told to Variety about “being subjected to or witnessing incidents similar incidents of inappropriate touching and endemic sexual harassment.” They claimed Kreisberg kissed women without consent, asked for massages from “uncomfortable female staff members,” and made a “constant stream of sexualized comments” about female colleagues’ appearances.

Hollywood is imploding. This is good. Kill the big studios and we'll have another golden age of movies

How does sexual misconduct affect the business model? Why would it?

Great post.

They had an insane amount of turnover. The show has run for 92 episodes and the longest tenured writer (who wasn’t also a creator of the show) has 47 episodes. Not long after him, the most writing credits gets down to about 5 episodes.

He said that this is a good thing for Hollywood because it’ll implode the big studios. I’m asking how that would change the business model for filmmaking? Tentpoles aren’t beings green lit constantly because of sexual harassment. That’s a financial decision, and one that will still be there if the current studios imploded.
