Sounds like it’s better than Jurassic World I and it tries to be different. But it’s definitely a turn your brain off movie.

Both of these can't be true.

I’m okay with this. It’s a dinosaur movie.

I enjoyed Jurassic World, but the plot to this one seems stupid. Mother Nature is blessing you with a way to clean up your disaster of an experiment, but you're going to send in a mission to rescue animals who previously went extinct millions of years ago from going extinct again? What am I missing?

I’m fine with turning off my brain and watching Dinos chase BDH in heels while her sandbags jiggle in a tank top

Is this a criticism? In a movie where the basic plot point is dinosaurs eating people, it's not for rocket scientists.

If they tried to make the dinosaurs a metaphor for the reuinification of Germany, I'd be more critical of that.

The only characters who behave rationally are the dinosaurs.

Sounds like Jurassic World has gone full Godzilla...and totally away from any archaeology or science like the original.

I don’t think that’s the plot at all after seeing the second extended trailer

The score has dropped, as expected. Still looking forward to it.

As a word of warning, this movie is releasing in a bunch of countries tomorrow so be wary of spoilers.

When I read "The sheer absurdity is unappealing" about a popcorn dinosaur movie . . . I stop reading.

You also understand RT had The Last Jedi at 91%. For that alone, I don't believe shite what reviewers think anymore.

Popcorn movies are fine.

But when people say a popcorn movie is boring; we have a problem.

Popcorn movies have one job - to not be boring! We don't care about storylines or character development.

But the one sin you can't make is be boring.

I’m just not that excited about Jurassic movies anymore. Maybe it’s just me. It was magic in 1993. Maybe I’m just getting old.

this is a Jurrasic Park thread!

I’m sick of hearing about Star Wars.

There’s a very obvious reason why The Last Jedi got a higher Rotten Tomatoes. It was a reaction to the previous two movies which were not well received in the critical community. I’ve heard critics talk about how they didn’t really care to The Last Jedi who said they ended up writing somewhat more favorable reviews just because they disliked the previous two movies so much and they saw That movie as being different, and therefore a sign of improvement.

Enough though. Enough talking about Star Wars. We’re talking about Jurassic Park/World

Can you imagine if we had Twister 5 - Back to the Eye?

Both were ground-breaking CGI when they came out...and while Tornadoes died out - Dinos became this massive industry.

People even sold jewelry in fancy stores claiming that a bug in some amber was a million years old...and people wore this stupid shite around their necks.

The original story was a cool concept by Chrichton...and the book was popular. And then it became somthing else...from a cool concept and psuedo-science based to Godzilla meets Missing in Action.

Will there be dinosaurs? This is really the only answer that matters for me.

I’ll watch it but I’m sure there was a great JP4 concept that got thrown in the trash in order to have made up dinosaur breeds and pet raptors.

They always have been. Kids love dinosaurs, we were getting them as prizes in our cereal boxes in the 60's. Dinosaurs in cartoons and movies go WAY back. Crichton tapped into it, he didn't invent it.

What the hell are you talking about? TFA has a 93% RT score and RO is at 85%. What you just said makes absolutely no sense.

I completely disregard reviews like that. I'm not looking for a gritty, character driven, realistic take on a theme park filled with genetically engineered dinosaurs.
