Calling it the best one since the first one, let’s hope so because other than Predators they’ve been pretty mediocre to terrible

The trailers have looked pretty solid for it, so I am hopeful.
It can't be worse than The Predator from a couple years. That one was pretty fricking horrible.

True. But I always love watching Predator gear with modern effects. Plus, it was cool to see one finally use his mandibles as a weapon.
Didn't care for much else besides that rampaging through the scientists scene though.

I mean in theory the Predator could be able to sit in a tree somewhere cloaked and just off everyone.
Obviously it'll come down to the Predator de-teching himself on purpose for a fight. We've already seen that he can be beaten with sharp sticks and fire in the original Predator movie. Dutch never out-muscled the one he faced.
Now, can a 100 pound native woman set as many traps as a body building special ops guy?

The lifting the bear scene was epic. I get why they used it in the preview, but it would have been cool to see it first in the movie.

But I assume she’ll be presented as a legit badass warrior, and a cunning hunter. As long as she doesn’t overpower the predator physically, I can buy into her outsmarting it with whatever “technology” and traps she has at her disposal. It’s not like she’s gonna body slam it.

Well, they were already shown to have some sort of honor code in previous films when it comes to “fairness.”
But it’s going to be a story about a female fighting gender norms by wanting to become a hunter/warrior when males are the ones to do that.

In the trailer this is pretty much a given I’m afraid.
The main character is asked why she wants to hunt and she says it’s because people think she can’t (or something to that effect)
