re: First Official look at Joaquin Phoenix in "Joker" (Updated with new pics)

Is this gonna be the killing joke? Hope the ending isn’t awkward like the comic.

No one is going to top Ledger’s Joker.

I haven’t been paying much attention to this outside of looking at a few pics, but is this the Joker (albeit his take on the Joker) from the DC universe (Gotham, with a unseen Batman)? Or, is it just a random guy, from anywhere) who becomes a “Joker-type” character?

Or do we know?

good lord man you're already ready for another whole reboot? pass on that idea. batman in my favorite superhero, and im definitely going to see this movie, but I would have been perfectly content with there never being another batman movie. or at least for a long time. the nolan trilogy was as good as it gets.

I’m not into DC as much as Marvel but wasn’t it kind of eluded to that The Joker was more than one person?

And he changed the story each time, which fit his sociopathic character.

I'm not really digging the makeup for him, but overall the character looks pretty decent.

Its definitely in Gotham. There has been reference to Thomas Wayne being in it. But its not connected to the Justice League batman.

I'm wondering if they are gonna have Batman in the shadows some how at the end of the movie and its just Batman and you don't know who the actual Bruce Wayne is.
