He's babbling the truth. This was a fun movie, I won't deny it that but once you get over the ooooh and aaah of seeing Han, Chewie and Luke (God Leia should have been killed off instead) the movie is just a rehashed version of New Hope. I rewatched it a couple weeks ago and I was offended at how fricking blatant of a rip off it was. You can sit here and say "Oh it's just redoing it for the new generation" but that is a fricking rip off of New Hope.

I salute you. Some people get it.

I'm not reading the whole thread so I hope you haven't been accused of being a me alter.

Do you not understand the concept of a basic reboot?

I've watched it another 10 times since it came out. It's still awesome.

Because you're missing the point. It needed to be a soft reboot from what they're planning on doing with the franchise. Yes, the plot is roughly ANH, but I think it had a better hero, a better villain (just off of ANH alone), a better sacrifice, a better lightsaber duel, and better final scene. I think it's second next to Empire and narrowly better than ANH.

I like Rey but Finn was obviously token casting. They could have made him the "greatest pilot in the galaxy," a leader of the rebel alliance or a badass villain, but no. They made him the clueless, bungling comic relief and even gave him stereotypical "black" lines like "droid please!"

But yeah, if you didn't like it, you're a racist. That makes sense.

I love how the black dude beat the frick out of kylo. Apparently everyone has conquered how to use the force. That use to be something you had to learn. Now you can just do it with no training.

That there's not anything especially different about the Star Trek and Star Wars reboots - when they used to be diametrically opposed through philosophy of their creators...and long history of movies that never resembled each other in the least.

Now it's just, young target audience in space.

They are interchangeable. Resemble each other. $$$$

The money grab is so blatant. They don't even pretend to make a Star Trek movie or a Star Wars movie.

Hollywood has identified the money-making base and the loose plot idea. Everything that happens around that formula is ancillary as long as there is explosions, close-ups, panting, comedic-quips and lens flares.

The butthurt is strong within you. And with all your bullshite star wars and star trek nonsense, I'd bet Alot of money you never paid much attention to either growing up and you're repeating some nerds blog ramblings you read a few months ago.

Holy shite. I can almost hear your shrieking bitch voice through my computer screen. Could your latent, burning need for a penis in your arse be more obvious?

Seriously, if a random guy like me on the internet sees it, you can bet pretty much everyone you come into contact with does too.

I don't mean to alarm you or make you paranoid, but everyone knows you're queer.

I have a monotone deep slow voice. No shrieking here. And your post is a furious projecting rant. Maybe tone done the homosexual blowharding.

But you didn't answer the question:

Do you know the difference between jelly and jam?

I'm not the biggest fan of the film either, but this is blatantly false.

I've actually found myself bored with it on rewatch. Ep 8 better be original or they may start losing some of the fan base.
It was magic in the theater, but we all forget that Ep 1 was, too (just getting a new SW after waiting so long).

After rewatching it, ... yeah. It really doesn't stand out.
