Finally watched Happy Gilmore 2 after reading all the horrible reviews

This was a movie I was really excited about seeing when it first came out but the reviews were so bad I put it off until just now .
I wish I would have watched it sooner .
I thought it was great .
Maybe not quite as good as the original but I’ve seen a ton of part 2s of movies that were absolutely terrible compared to the original .
I laughed on this one almost as much as the original
If you put off watching this because of bad reviews and enjoyed the first I would suggest giving it a watch

I enjoyed it well enough for what it was, and chuckled throughout. It's pretty forgettable (unlike the original), but IIRC my main gripe was how stupid they went with the dumb golf shite. Like just the retardedly unbelievable holes and shite. Had they not leaned so hard into that I think it would've been much better.
But the actual movie itself wasn't bad.

I thought it was good not great
People glazed Bad Bunny, but he was poorly formed. Is he in on the joke, or the straight man? It was very inconsistent.

Bad Bunny was great in the movie. He could be an elite actor if he wanted to be. He's already an elite musician.

Dude everything gets bitched and moaned abouf these days, especially anything new from something older and popular. I cant believe you would skip watching something because of online backlash.

When I was a poor LSU student, we didn't have cable most of the time. But we did have a VHS tape that had Happy Gilmore, BioDome, and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory on it.
We watched this tape constantly.
I have some fond memories of Happy Gilmore. Mostly drunken, but fond.
I liked the 2nd one well enough. Wasn't great, but wasn't terrible.
