I found The Wire to be shallow and pedantic.

Arrested Development was the same jokes for 3 seasons. Got stale quick.

it's like they're trying to outdo each other by saying they don't like more and more shows and movies that 90% of critics like

Yeah I know. Breaking Bad is terrible. The characters have no depth, the plot is plodding. I mean, what is wrong with people? Why don't they see it?

I said the same thing for years about MASH, Seinfeld, Cheers, Frasier, The Wire, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, the Twilight Zone, the Sopranos, Deadwood, and Justified.

And history has proven me right!

Couldn't agree more. Show is more over rated than Bob Dylan.

I don't think he wants to be fricking serious... That being said, you're not fricking serious are you??

I couldn't get through season 1.

To each his own, I suppose.

It did nothing for me.

most of the characters are extremely unlikeable and annoying.
disagree

The show is about change....much like the first time you see Walter White teaching chemistry, he explains that chemistry is the study of change...

Walter White changes from a sympathetic character who truly loves his family to a raging, psychotic, egotistical drug lord who makes decisions that put his family directly at risk

Jesse also changes, but his change is more about maturing and learning to care for others

Characters that are likable:
Hank
Gus
Jesse(off and on, but on now)
Mike
Saul

Skyler sucks, sure. And WWjr also sucks, but there are plenty of characters that aren't annoying

Yeah, I quit watching after halfway through season 5.

In my opinion The King of Queens, Golden Girls, Full House, Empty Nest, Maude, and Who's the Boss blow Breaking Bad away. The actors are more talented, the character development is deeper and more insightful, the plot is more intricate, unpredictable, and intense, and the dialogue is far better written in these shows over BB.
