Also, Cure (by the same director). The new Criterion Collection Blu-ray edition of Cure comes out in about a month.

3 is highly underrated. Just go in knowing it's not about Michael Myers and enjoy it as a stand-alone movie. I usually watch it every Halloween along with Trick 'R Treat.

Not really horror movies but these two sort of got to me:

Stigmata
Event Horizon

Also, I’m in the minority but the second Blair Witch sort of freaked me out.

The only one that really affected me in any way was "The Ring"

I saw this in the theater, and it got me interested in Asian horror in general. Way back then, I found this site very helpful in deciding what to watch next:

Snowblood Apple A-Z

Editing to add that TD links force https instead of http and that seems to break all the images on that site for some reason. If you visit that site and can't see images, remove the s from the URL.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Black Christmas
Jaws
Dawn of the Dead
The Thing
Evil Dead 1 and 2
The Descent
Martyrs

Those are my favorites, but the fun thing with horror is how much fun you can have with the bad movies. Just look for 80’s slashers and have a good time.

I love it. Everyone in the movie is a psycho or Killable..Has the most nudity, and is the same story in a way of Mrs voorhees. Parent has their disabled kid get killed so they take revenge on the place and area that allowed it.

Should have added the part where Roy was going to frame Tommy being he had access to his medical charts. Which is why he used the "Jason Thing". They kind of left the audience hanging on why and wtf..could have made a better story had they finished it correctly

I’m steadily trying to find horror movies that make me feel like these with no luck.

Terrifier was a fun slasher movie.
