I think he knew Lester was there.

He knew he was there. It was crappy because he gave her the jacket to hide her identity and think it was him.

He sent her in to die if he was there.

I think Fargo has been as good as anything on TV this year.

A lot of shows you kind of have an idea how everything is going to play out in the end. With Fargo I have no fricking clue what's gonna happen

What an episode.

This series has been the surprise of the year to me. Next week is going to be insane.

I just finished watching it. Damn, I can't believe Lester sent his wife in like that. Malvo is such a bad dude. He was such a dick for telling about the murders in Lester's old house in front of those kids. This role was perfect for Billy Bob Thornton.

He is the key player next week. Lou is the only match for Malvo. He saw right through his superficial charm and Malvo bailed.

Other observations: Stephen Root said Friend-O at the party. Another homage to NCFOM.

"I haven't had a piece of pie like that since the Garden of Eden." Malvo is Satan.

Sepinwall: Also, I asked Hawley if there was anything he felt comfortable telling the audience about the finale. His response:

"Hold onto your butts."

Is Malvo supposed to be the devil or something similar? That line about the Garden of Eden plus all the other weird shite he's said leads me to believe there's more to him. Especially with how good he is at influencing others.

Did Lester knowingly send her in there to die?

Lester was packing heat, right? If he thought Malvo hadn't seen him, he could have taken him out.

I've thought he had something divine going on for awhile and even more so with his Eden line tonight and the fact that we still know nothing about him, but I'm not sure that really fits in with this show.

He didn't know for sure Malvo was in there, but he clearly suspected. So he put her in harm's way instead of himself. TPOS.

My question: Was Malvo involved in the Sioux Falls incident they keep talking about? He would have been in his early 20's, so it's possible.

I've seen the "Malvo is literally the devil" thing written about in a few places but last week sealed it for me.

When he strangles that cop that was guarding the deaf hitman's door, the lights start flashing on and off for no reason.

That, plus the conversation he had with Gus's rabbi neighbor, his disappearing from Lester's basement without a trace, and some others I'm not remembering put me on Team "Malvo is the devil".

One of the best scenes I've ever seen, and that's across both movies and shows. Just savage.
