I really like this series so far. I haven't read anything on here about what other people have been saying, what's the consensus?

Other than the 11 page thread you just posted in?

Finally got around to starting this. Watched first episode last night, and all I can say is:

As is the Duluth deputy. Feel bad for the guy.

ETA: These hitmen crack me up. Great characters.

It's a bit odd that nobody noticed the birdshot pellet in Lesters hand.

Been thinking the same...

Also, anyone else actively googling the answer to Malvo's question like I am?

Good point. Sort of a guilt thing.

Yep, and of course it's festering and growing.
Molly would have definitely seen it when she visited Lester at his office no?

I'm having some difficulty remembering the plague of crickets. Locusts, yes. Crickets? Not so much...

I'm just glad he found a pet store with a few tens to hundreds of thousands of crickets.

Did it bother anyone else how easy it was for Malvo to leave the jail? I mean I get he is a total badass, but that was extremely pathetic and a bit ridiculous for a show that has been so smart thus far. I still loved the episode, but that bothered me a bit.

Malvo is pretty much a god. The show all but stated it in writing with the "God is real" stuff and then showing him. There's also the fact he doesn't care about being filmed committing crimes, he can put gallons of pig blood in a water supply without leaving a trace, he can rain down a literal plague of crickets without getting caught, and I mean, there must have been tens of thousands of the things at a minimum, and I almost forgot, he has the gift of prophecy, too.
