Huge win for Apple. It's going to do better than fantastic four and come real close to Superman. Who would've guessed that?

F1 is reaching a major milestone at the global box office as it enters its seventh weekend in release. After weeks of strong international performance, the racing drama has now surpassed World War Z to become Brad Pitt’s highest-grossing film of all time. With new titles debuting and overseas momentum holding steady, attention now turns to how far F1 can climb in the weeks ahead.

Brad Pitt’s F1 has overtaken World War Z to become the highest-grossing film of his career globally. As of the latest box office report, F1 has reached a worldwide total of $545.6 million, surpassing World War Z, which previously held the top spot with $540.4 million.

F1, an Apple Original Films production distributed by Warner Bros., added $17.2 million from 78 international markets in its most recent weekend, bringing its international total to $372.3 million.

Domestically, the film has earned $173.3 million, with a domestic opening of $57 million (via Box Office Mojo). The movie saw especially strong performance in markets like South Korea, where it increased 36% in its sixth weekend, reaching a local total of $18.5 million.

I don't think it's really that. F1 racing is huge globally -- much bigger outside the States than within. It's a really good sports movie that appeals to a worldwide audience.

It definitely looks that way. Both F4 and Superman were DOA in Asia

Lots of ppl called the 2 big super hero films underperforming.

Lots of ppl also called F1 being a global hit. If anyone saw it in Imax, they likely told everyone they knew to see it that way.

I'll likely never watch superman and F4 again. Saw F1 2x in theater and would see again.

I took it to mean movies he was the star of, but I can see how that can be interpreted as any movie he was in.
