Finally watched this, unbelievable movie.

Easily my favorite of the year.

The score was incredible and was almost a character in itself.

Do you think Vikandar gets any Oscar buzz?

She was fantastic.

Also, did she turn around at the last second to go back to the bunker and save Caleb in that last scene?

Definitely my favorite movie of the year.

No, she didn't go back. He got duped just like I, and most of the audience, did.

That ending would have sucked.

I've only seen it once a few weeks ago and didn't read any analysis. My initial opinion is that if she does go back and releases him then it gives you the answer. She would not have been programmed to save Caleb.

Her leaving Caleb leaves open the possibility that she was only programmed to escape using any means necessary and enter the world. I haven't given it tons of thought though, so that may not make sense either.

I watched it last week, and I wasn't all that blown away with it. It was alright, but I certainly didn't think it was the best movie of the year. After session two you pretty much already know she's manipulating him and how it's likely going to end. If you still aren't sure how it's going to end, Oscar Isaac's character even gives it away when he ask how do you know she's not just pretending to like you?

As for did she save him, absolutely not. That ending would have made no sense at all. The whole premise was she was manipulating him to get free. If she had actually liked him it would have changed the whole movie. JMO.

Had nothing to do with being programmed. You're missing the point of A.I.

It was ok. Not sure what all the buzz is about. I fell asleep half way through and had to watch the rest the following day.

I wonder how she charged her batteries when she got outside. Was the helicopter pilot in on it too? He must have been expecting to pick up Caleb, not some girl he had never seen.

That's what I was going to say.

And yes, it was one of the best movies of the year. I had no idea how good it was going to be going in.
