I wonder how Abrams is gonna recover from Rian Johnson dicking on the middle portion of the trilogy, ruining some great possibilities that were set up in TFA.

I dont think he can. Han, Leia and Luke are gone. I am so pissed that Mara Jade will never appear in the movies. I just can't see why they killed off Luke.

This just gives Disney an excuse to make a 4th movie to untuck their mess. Not that I trust them to do it anyway.

"The Last Jedi" could have been referring to Luke. Considering the rather arduous and lengthy process in becoming a Jedi (look up the trials), it's not at all to dismiss the possibility Rey would be that Jedi.

I am aware of the length process in becoming a Jedi. Which is why I thought it was pretty clear Luke was a goner. I realize they could have possibly been referring to Rey, but to me the title just seemed like it was screaming Luke.

I have no problem with them killing off Luke. We saw Anakin, Yoda, and Obi Wan die. My biggest grievance is the direction they went with Luke. The most optimistic character in the universe suddenly is contemplating killing his apprentice and then runs and hides when he fails at raising up the next generation of jedi. It’s one thing to hide for his own safety. It’s another to give up and run off to die.
