Scorsese and James Cameron....I'm trying to think of a bigger director than those two.
Maybe in the next season he's gonna get hooked up with the Coen Brothers or Burton or Speilberg.

I don't feel like going back, but supatigah nailed the ended. He called Vince calling E out, there being a split, and E returning to LA alone.

i thought they shold have ended it when Ari asked Lloyd tikd Ari "he's got em'" on the phone. and vince picks up and says hello. some one says hey vince vince turns around and his eyes get all big and boom roll credits.

Hard to believe that he goes from unemployable to the lead in a potential Oscar Winner.

this is not hard to believe at all in hollywood. it's happened numerous times.
i think the happy ending wasn't as happy as everyone makes it out to be. I think they foreshadowed the entire next season in the last episode.
Paraphrase
Vince: "I just got cast in Scorcese flick. Hope I don't get a big head"
E: "I just got you cast in a Scorcese flick."
Next season, E and Vince both have success unlike the two have ever realized. This causes a potential break in the Entourage.

Hasn't this been looming every season? It's not really anything new.

the success has never really been realized. I think next season it comes to a head.

I don't know if this is the case but seeing as the show is loosely based on Mark Wahlberg and he's the exec producer, prior to Smoke Jumpers falling to sh1t, I thought that it resembled the Perfect Storm. Wahlberg was the #2 in that movie behind a big name in Clooney, did a good job, and it helped him out career wise in a time that

The very first season was on the verge of an Entourage breakup. They're not going to split and break up the 4 of them. If anything, they move back together.
And no, it's not unlike Hollywood to go from unemployable to Oscar winner. That's an ignorant comment. Bryan Lourde is an agent in Hollywood, he handles some big time people, Halle B. to name a few, Bryan's brother, Blaine went to LSU, he was in a fraternity, and Blaine and my mother were friends...he was telling stories once and you can literally go from renting an apartment to buying a 3 million dollar house in the Hills. Entourage is about to be the next "IT" show. Miller Gold is going to be working with Gary Cole, it's going to be good. With all of the characters coming off a "career-high" moment, season 6 is going to be the best ever.

I suppose I was the only one who thought the Scorcese then E make up was weak and predictable.

nope. i hate that they wrapped it up so neatly.

The underlying issues are still there and I think E is smart enough to know that he has to seek greener pastures.
Vince wanted to blame E for everything when it has been Vince that has been almost impossible to deal with and unwilling to do anything to really help his career.
E has now seen how Vince really feels about things if the wheels come off so I expect him to develop more clients next season.

Notice the continuing parallel between Whalberg's life and Vince's? Whalberg finally got a good role in a good movie and it was a Scorse movie (Departed) now vince gets one too.
saw that too although I thought Whalberg was praised for his work in 3 kings.

well played sir
I think they should have had the vince/E fight earlier or should not have resolved it yet. I think they did what they did to obviously get more viewers tuning in during the summer.
