In A New Hope, R2 leaves right after he's bought by Uncle Owen because he's going off looking for Obi-Wan. R2 definitely remembered.

Because he was sent my Princess Leia to deliver the message to Obi-Wan. Doesn't mean he remembers anything pre new hope.

Ah, ok. It has been a good while since I have watch Sith. In our rewatch schedule I won't get to it until Thursday or Friday.

I just rewatched them the last few weeks is the only reason I remember. I though both droids memory had been wiped at first.

Why does 3PO act like he doesn't know who Leia is when R2 shows Luke the "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi" hologram? Just a few minutes before he had said "They'll be no escape for the Princess this time!"

Actually, Obi Wan does recognize R2 and R2 says that he was previously owned by Obi Wan. I'm guessing that Leia knew this as well about R2 and her father made sure she knew this.

I thought I was the only one that had never seen a Star Wars movie before.

Doubt I start now. Maybe one day

When the Falcon disappears by hiding on the backside of the Star Destroyer they say no ship that size has cloaking ability.

Has any ship ever had cloaking in the movies?

I don't remember any.

The emperor did not want Vader to continue looking for Luke on his own because there was a chance Vader could have look as his pupil. Palpatine wanted to replace Vader with Luke. He had Vader distracted and expressly wanted to be involved in the "turning" process.

Leia was a Skywalker and had any amount of Force consciousness (and that is implied when Luke can contact her telepathically, as well as Yoda's response to Kenobi when Luke leaves to go to Bespin), why did Vader not pick up on this when he had her captive on Death Star I?

He does say something about her being mentally strong. I don't recall the exact line

I think Vader was bored as shite in EP 4. He's force choking folks just for shits and giggles. He barely senses Obi Wan who he spent over a decade with. IMO this is when his force powers kind of wake up. He knows Luke is powerful but doesn't connect him either.

If he barely senses two very powerful force beings, then it isn't to far fetched that he wouldn't notice Leia's connection, especially since he doesn't know she exists.
