This is a movie I WANTED to see. Was excited to see, maybe several times. But par for the course in modern Hollywood, they just HAD to frick it up and make it for the (imaginary) modern audience.
I've been ever consistent on ONE thing. Respect for the source material. Be it 2800 yr old Greek mythology, 90 yr old English fantasy or 20 yr old Japanese Manga.

This is what liberals do since 2020. They make movies everyone wants to see like the old days but now makes the cast and story woke/dei for no reason whatsoever. Just to say I told you so and they can do whatever they want. They will lose money 90% of the time but every 1 out of 10 times they win and they think that they have total control. They ruined Hollywood movies and tv all together.

Has zero to do with The Odyssey. The 'child' who was duped, played by an actual young male is as big as the older 'female' version. (5' 2") There's no source where Nolan's version took place by any account, yet he NEEDED it to
1. Use E. Page in his movie.
2. Create further dramatic tension between Odysseus to Antinous.

I have read Wilson’s translation. I have seen the Odyssey. He doesnt ape her translation at all. Even a little bit. The only thing they have in common is they both tone down the language. That’s it.
If you read Wilson’s forward and watched the movie you would see how dumb your statement is. Nolan takes it in a much different direction than Wilson does.
But, of course, you haven’t seen it so you don’t know how wrong you are.
