Did yall have the same energy when Jim Cavezial played Jesus? Cause I hate to break it to yall, but that ain't exactly accurate either. This is like when everyone complained about a black mermaid. Everyone knows in real life mermaids are white!

You wokies don't want to discuss the blackwashing or can't defend the casting so you cry about irrelevant shite
Defending uniformed speculation feels pretty stupid, so it would be weird to do it.
You idiots obfuscate the point that there is currently no reason to take this as accurate casting information by defending a fake photo as actual evidence. This whole conversation is "irrelevant shite" because it's based on conjecture rather than actual reality. You desire anger, so you attack reality as irrelevant in order to protect that feeling.

Why would we? He didn't look obscenely different from how Jesus might have looked.

To be fair, the still shot in the OP is from 12 Years A Slave, not this movie.
Yeah, because Lupita Nyong’o is a very attractive woman. I still don’t see her as Helen of Troy, but it’s not a huge deal.

Yet here you are on page 10

I am looking forward to Jay Are’s pivot.

Well, now that it's confirmed that Lupita is Helen, I guess we'll get Ellen/Elliott Achilles confirmation soon enough. Lupita isn't attractive enough to launch a thousand ships. Maybe a rowboat or a dinghy, something like a fishing kayak.

In this one she's referred to as "The face that sunk a thousand jon boats".

Another movie I won't have to bother seeing.
I thought Nolan may be immune to the BS "modern audiences" casting but nope.

Not that big a deal, considering Helen is unimportant to this story
Shame they couldn't get a more attractive "face that launched a thousand ships"
Lupita is very mid

A new Sinbad the Sailor movie would have been cooler. This is gonna be over 4 hours I just know it.

Nolan apparently made significant changes, including Helen’s involvement in the story.

Maybe but I have a feeling it would have gone this way:
