I know, they basically cut out a crucial moment that helped send Gohan over the edge.

Yes, basically the reason Gohan went level 2. Really don't know how you can leave out his breaking point. Not. Even. Cool.

Buu Saga has the unfortunate luck of being last in the series.

True.

It gets a bit played out when they have already fought and destroyed the most powerful being in the universe 2-3 times already. And to top it off, Buu has different forms too.

Best part of the Buu Saga is Vegeta (Wow, that's a common theme). His pride by letting Babidee take him over just to get more powerful and then self destructing was fantastic.

They really shite on level 3 super-saiyan in this series too.

Until yesterday, I had no idea why he turned to stone after he self destructed. Turns out he didn't, but the animators screwed it up most likely...

Dragon Ball Kai was cancelled after the Cell Saga in Japan.

I thought that was more because that was the intended stopping point of the series.

That was one of the points of Kai.

The popularity of DBZ is why they slapped together the Buu saga.

From what I read, although I didn't crosscheck for validity, Kai had major budgets problems that had gotten worse. Couple that with in with a significant drop in merchandise sales, they were treading water...

CW took the NickToons' edits and expanded upon them.

quote:

The Toonzai kids block on The CW also broadcasts FUNimation's English dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai. Their broadcast contains most of the edits of the NickToons version, as well as extra editing to fit the stricter broadcast standards. The broadcast has been notorious for it's questionable editing practices such as erasing Shenron from the opening credits in some episodes, colorizing Mr. Popo blue, changing halos into shinging spheres, adding sparkles to Chiaotzu's fatal explosion, drawing an eye over Gohan's swolen face, and replacing dialogue considered objectiobale with sound-a-like voices
