‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Adds Campbell Scott as Key Character from Original Movie
I know Dodgson was the catalyst for the events in Jurassic Park, but I would hardly call a one scene character key.
It is interesting that they keep bringing back minor characters, like Henry Wu and Dodgson, in a larger capacity in the Jurassic World franchise. I hope gourmet chef Alejandro comes back to cook up some more Chilean sea bass.

Chilean sea bass

A cleverly renamed, potentially unsustainably harvested fish.
Would you eat a fish that looked like that if it went by its real common name, Patagonian toothfish?

Nobody cares.

I'll be interested to see what they do with him. I think he played a bigger role in the book (actually...I think in both books). it's been a while since i read them.

Need Robert Muldoon back with prosthetic limbs. His level of badassery should have survived that raptor attack.

He worked for a competing company that was supposedly years behind on research so that company should have dinosaurs by now.

Look, we only saw John Arnold/Sam Jackson's severed arm. He could be alive.
If one armed Sam Jackson emerges from a cave in the Isla Nublar jungle, I will throw money at the next movie.

He was the raptor "expert" who didn't know how raptors hunted, he deserved to die.

That's true, so I've read. It's been close to 20 years since I read the books, so I don't remember first hand.

Didn’t play a huge part in the first book, basically the same role (gets Nedry to steal the embryos) with a little more exposition.
Second book he was a main character, went to Site B to harvest Dino eggs. He was the guy Malcolm was trying to stop in the novel.

World really dug up the book characters on this one.
Wu was all about the dinosaurs not actually being dinosaurs but simulacra. They were literally software versions that he and his team were constantly designing and bug fixing.
Dodgson got removed from Lost World. Where he was just younger Hammond with less vision and money. (Hammond was a bad guy in the original book)

Game warden. Not expert just the most prepared to take down multi million dollar animals.

That was what struck me about the treatment of the dinosaurs in JP vs JW. The Jurassic Park book, the dinosaurs were portrayed as unnatural creations. They were imitation dinosaurs and designed in ways to help them be tourist attractions.
Jurassic Park never really portrayed the dinosaurs like that, even hinting in the opposite direction with life finds a way.
In Jurassic World, the movies have fully embraced the idea the dinosaurs are inherently unnatural and manipulated for the park.
