Disney Tops $5.7+ Billion In Global Box Office In First Half Of 2019

We're only six months into 2019, and Disney has already delivered box office numbers on par with year-end totals for their nearest competitors. Through the end of June, the Disney family of studios has amassed a massive $5.7 billion in total worldwide box office revenue. For comparison, the revenue totals for the second- and third-highest studio totals are $1.5+ billion for Warner Bros. and Universal, each. In fact, the combinedtotals for the #2, #3, and #4 studios through June is still much lower than Disney's current total.
Disney owns the biggest blockbuster not only of the year, but of the past decade, with Avengers: Endgame
Captain Marvel comes in second for the year with $1.128 billion, followed by Aladdin, which topped $900 million today and is still going strong on its way to somewhere north of $950 million. Toy Story 4 sits in the #5 spot for the year
And Disney's not done yet. Not by a long shot.
The Lion King is just around the corner, ready to rack up well north of $1+ billion (and I'm betting more than $1.5 billion) at the box office. Frozen 2 is sure to be a hot one to the tune of more than $1+ billion, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will surely top its predecessor's $750+ million cume, and then Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ends the year with a likely $1-1.5 billion result
What this all points to is a possible/probable shocking outcome — Disney is looking at a $9+ billion outcome for their 2019 releases, and potentially as high as $10 billion. Either would be a huge new record.

Everyone always complains how unoriginal Hollywood is, but you're only showing up to watch the same shite over and over.

And they still have Avatar and Disney + on deck.
They better not frick up The Lion King and The Mandalorian though. In Happy I Trust.

I’m very interested to see where Star Wars lands. Pretty much make or break for the near future of the franchise. Let’s see if a lot of people put their money where their math is.

Hopefully they see what is happening to Galaxy's Edge and realize the fanbase is sick of their shite in time to try to at least make the film decent.

What's happening to it?
ETA: Ok, I googled and one day they said the crowds were lighter than expected then the next day said Disneyland was a ghost town because of it and they're running out of merchandise.
