If you think the Rocky Horror movie is a sacred untouchable work you kind of miss the entire point of why it's still popular.

I didn't think it was THAT horrible.
But yeah, the Frank-N-Furter role was all wrong IMO. I think that part needs a much more androgynous look. Then its much more realistic to suspend disbelief that both a young man and a young woman convinced of their heterosexuality could possibly be tempted.
I don't think the person playing the part - sporting huge boobs along with a mannish upper body didn't seem like she would have been able to seduce either really.

Funny enough, it was actually one of the better parts. Of course that like saying one of the least smelly pieces of shite.
It's impossible to compare anyone to Tim Curry, but they wasn't why it failed. It felt forced and low energy.
Rocky Horror is supposed to be fun and inviting.
