Just caught the second half again last night. Whenever it or Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels are on, it's pretty much guaranteed that I'm going to watch a few scenes.
Yea, it's a must watch, even if only for a few minutes. Pretty much every scene is memorable, IMO. Plus the music is just icing on the cake.

I love that movie. It's to Generation X, what American Graffiti was for Baby Boomers.

One of my fondest memories at LSU was spending a Sunday after a tennis match (had a few friends on the women's tennis team) getting baked and watching Dazed and Confused 4 times back to back.

Movie is based on my high school. The majority of that stuff was still going on in the late 80's when I was there.

That's what makes the movie so great.

Great times...I was in high school in that era...and we did have the best music.

Same here..graduated in 1977. Recognize several of the characters portrayed in this movie, as I'm sure many high schools at the time had those same folks!

It was a great time to be in high school...

I bought it several years ago, but every time I wanted to watch it with Mr. Mouth, he would complain. "D&C? That movie is dumb," and we would end up with Blazing Saddles or Caddyshack. Again. The 70s are his era; I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't like D&C.
He watched it with me a few weeks ago and finally got it.

Did the seniors at Huntsville High actually hunt the incoming freshmen down with paddles?
