I fell asleep in the first 5 mins... I was exhausted and full of salmon so doesn't mean it wasn't good....just my 2 cents....

It was OK, but most every great series I watch takes a few episodes to really get into. The sets weren't super impressive, certainly doesn't have the budget Deadwood had.

I liked it other than the extra long shots of Copper's arse.

I liked it. It definitely has me interested in the story.

It felt like I was watching cut scenes from a really good video game if that makes any sense.

Yes, I liked it. Copper is a good cop in a corrupt city and higher up officials. His little group of 3 seem to get things done. I'll watch it.

I liked it alot. Between this show and boardwalk empire, I'm starting to get a lot more interested in these time periods.

Have you seen Gangs of New York? It's one of my favorite movies, so Copper is right in my wheel house.

I watched it about 17 min late(no dvr), felt lost, then watched it for a second time On Demand. Before doing that I watched all the character shorts which explained who they are etc. That helped a great deal to understand what is going on. This looks like a good one to watch all season.

How many episodes will be in this season? BBC sometimes has very short seasons.

I have yet to see gangs of new york, but I've heard great reviews of it.

Looks like i'll have to add to my 'movies to see' list.

To me - It was as if the writers wanted to take "what worked" in Gangs of New York, Deadwood and the recent Sherlock Holmes movies... and combine it all into a prequel for this:

I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope there will be more than 6 episodes in its season.

I read it's supposed to be 10 episodes. Didn't know it was BBC America's first original drama series.
