what makes me love this show even more is the fact that the guy who plays troy used to have a youtube account where he made videos in line with college humor. i watched his videos and i thought he was hilarious, then when the commercials for community started airing i was so fired up and im glad that he is still as funny as his youtube days. look up derrick comedy on youtube then look for the video called "Jerry." simply hilarious!!

You can see Abed in the background delivering a baby. I missed him elsewhere and saw this only b/c my roommate saw it.

this is my favorite show on tv right now. i think what makes it work is that it is perfectly cast. each character plays their role perfectly and adds their own style of humor.

He also used to write for 30 Rock. His analysis of the campaign to get him to play Spider-Man was pretty funny too. "How is Spider-Man not black? Think about it. He grew up in Queens, he grew up without a father and his Uncle got shot up in the streets." /paraphrasing
