There's something about this show that makes me laugh more after I've read these recap threads then when I'm actually watching the show.

I love coming here to read the thursday night show threads on friday mornings.

Great news guys! I spent ALL of my money!

Even if these are ending, I'm really excited for the last half seasons of each. I think they're going to bring out all the stops and end on top rather than us saying "this show is dead and should just end."

I'm re-watching Parks right now.

i rewatch community at least once, but rarely do with parks anymore. i still think parks is a great show, but they haven't had a show that kept me in stitches in a while.

in no way is that a slight at pnr, they are entertaining as ever, but just not as funny as the last couple of seasons

everyone's got their own opinions. i don't get why some posters here believe it's their responsibility to convert people to their views on each show.

i get attached to the characters so that keeps me watching shows, not necessarily belly laughs. like how ben drank the "dark liquor ron drink" and the noises that came out of his mouth with the drink falling off his tongue... it's those moments i really love.

by far my favorite moment of the show. jean-ralphio was my second favorite, go with your gut.

ron is one of the main reasons i got hooked on parks. i just adore his role. then the rest of the characters grow on you. i hated chris when he and ben first showed up, but now i couldn't imagine the show without him.

The return of Bert Macklin last week had me rolling. I was laughing pretty hard all episode. I still haven't watched this week, but I did see Community last night.

I thought it was a pretty solid episode.

exactly. for some reason parks just makes every character so amazing. even Kathryn Hahn's character is amazing, i don't want to see her or Paul Rudd leave the show.

i love ron and the fact that he's married to megan mullaly makes this show 5000 times better anytime they bring tammy #2 in.

i'm going to make my future children watch this show one day.

what did troy say right before the first commercial break?

Funny you say that...I actually had to rewind it several times last night and put up the captions to figure out what some were saying.

Solid episode last night. Admittedly, it started out pretty weird and stupid, and I wasn't liking it at all. But it hit its stride in the second half of the show, and the whole insane asylum thing was funny (and I'm glad it ended up being bullshite and it wasn't the writers trying to make us actually believe that shite..which worried me for a minute).

I liked Jeff's outburst about how everyone thinks CC is just two years, but that's not the case at all and it can be 3, 4, or even 7 years.

The pen line about the Annie's Boobs episode was money.

Agreed. And I was thinking last night about how 30 Rock did their "live episode" a couple weeks ago or whatever, and how awesome that would be if Community did something like that. Not only because you know they'd be trying to crack each other up, but also because you could all but guarantee a huge outburst from Chevy Chase aimed at Dan Harmon at some point, which would be awesome.

Also, I thought I remembered hearing that you got engaged a while back. If so, then congrats. If not, then ignore.

I really hate Ken Jeong in Community, but the Minortiy Report bit was well done. This show nails references to other films/shows.

This would be pretty great but I'd look forward to Troy's shenanigans more. A lot of his lines are improved so to give him free reign like that.. oh man oh man.

John Hodgman was pretty money in this episode. "I don't deal in crazy, I deal in help. So, how long has Aben needed a crazy amount of help?"

Also, his explanation about why they were in an asylum was pretty good. Making fun of how all this crazy shite happens, and no one cares about anyone except for the main group.

That really wasn't the joke. The joke was his reaction before the meter line. This was right after the psychiatrist told them about the insane asylum thing and his eyes got real big (like he realized what was going on), but instead he showed his obliviousness to the situation.

Then after he did the meter line, he reacted with big eyes again (as he actually realizes what's going on) and said "WAIT WHAT?!".

It was pretty funny. Garrett's dubbed deep voice in the asylum was great though.

yeah i got that Troy was just reacting oddly but i assumed it would have some sort of relevance. i guess it was one of those moments "troy reacts to hearing this news" and then he just says whatever comes to his mind.

so glad they didn't continue with the insane asylum story line though, it was hilarious to see them act that way and leonard was there hahahaha. oh man i'm going to miss this show.

I LOVE Leonard.

Y'all are right about the insane asylum part. I was getting worried for a second. But it was cool in that it was just Chang's plot. It's a good way to include Jeong without actually seeing much of him.

What's going on with Troy and Britta?
