What a satisfying conclusion to the KK I-III arc. Predictable sure, but it had to go the way it did or it wouldn’t work. Cheesy and even cringey at times but it just works. Overall just satisfying and a lot of fun. Bravo

Glad they got the Moon cameo one more time. Hottest on the show.

How Dimitri got freaky blonde tail though will always boggle the mind.

Honestly, that was everything I could’ve asked for Definitely a satisfying conclusion to the series.

I loved the series. Nobody asked for or expected any of this. To think, this may not have ever happened if Barney Stinson did not have an obsession with Johnny and claimed that he was the hero and Daniel was the villain.

Yes, it was very predictable and campy at the end but I’m ok with that.

One thing that I found funny is that Kim fricking murdered her grandfather and it just seems to be shrugged off. She’s teaching students after that and is an apparent love interest of Chozen’s now.

I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since this show started.

I went back and watched a few episodes of Season 1 today and it’s crazy how much older Johnny and Daniel look now compared to back then.

The amount of joy that first season gave me, and yes I know it was tons of nostalgia kicking in, has me holding out watching it again for a while. I want t9 watch it "fresh".

But the final talk with Johnny and Kreese was honestly an award worthy performance by Zabka imo. What an amazing arc 40 years in the making for him to absolutely nail that scene

100% agree. Turned to my wife and said that was easily the best acting of the whole series and I was surprised at how good Zabka was there.

Overall, the show was great even though there was tons of cheese and so much nonsense that would never happen I do think they stuck the landing.

This was great! The emotional effect that scene had was ever more so than Will asking Uncle Phil why his dad didn't want him.

I felt like things had kind of been dragging and the show had lost its original magic. But I’ll be damn if they didn’t recover it for these last episodes. I was just wanting to get it over with but ended up enjoying it a lot.

I never felt that, but breaking the last season into 3 small chunks was a bit much.

That's honestly my only issue with the entire run. Season 6 took forever to simply happen. I thought February would never get here.

Best damn show I’ve ever seen. The Daniel/Johnny ‘you’re the best around’ montage was icing on the cake. Great job all around.

Finished it up last night. What a great ending to an excellent show.

I jotted down some comments while watching. (Long post incoming...sorry)

How in the hell can John and Miguel simply come back as CK after being eliminated from the tournament? That is ridiculous. But at least they addressed it with a throwaway line from Silver about how they are former CK. But still...

I love they are still going with the absurdity of Alex being even remotely interested in fupa Sam. That is egregious.

And Sam quitting is bullshite. And Daniel being proud of her for doing it is even more bullshite. Just because Miyagi-do is about defense (i.e. NOT fighting) doesn't mean quitting on your team is okay. Nor is it anywhere good at all to simply hand Tori her pass to the finals and not make her earn it. It cheapens her win IMO (even though I think she easily beats Sam anyway). I really hated the aspect of Sam quitting.

That dream sequence with Daniel and horribly CGI'd Miyagi was so horribly done that it was laughable.

They seemed to do a MUCH better job of editing and sequencing the fights this time around. And it looks like some of the people (even Johnny included) were actually executing some of those kicks. Whoever did the editing did a GREAT job.

I love how literally anything on this show can be forgotten or forgiven with a simple conversation or a half-assed apology. Even attempted murder. Literally everybody LOATHES Silver but he knocks on the door and in 30 seconds has everybody back to the table to re-compete in the Sekai Takai.

I figured Kreese would sacrifice himself (and likely for Johnny) but man I wasn't expecting him to kill both himself and Terry Silver on the boat. That was crazy.

My only gripe about that is that Johnny doesn't know that Kreese did that (or that it was to protect Johnny's family). That scene with Johnny and kreese where Johnny tells him he loved him and felt betrayed by him was exceptionally well done. That actually felt like some genuine emotion from Johnny. And in a weird way, that one single scene tells us an awful lot about the Johnny character and how/why he ended up in the position he was in at the start of the series. This dude who was his literal father figure hurt and betrayed him so badly that it basically scarred him for life. Just greatly written and acted by both he and Kreese. So it would have been nice if Johnny could've known just what Kreese did for him in his final act. It would've driven it home even harder to Johnny IMO. But all in all, solid redemption arc for Kreese.

Absolutely fantastic choice for the title of the final episode: Ex-degenerate. That's fricking perfect.

The absurdity of people watching this tournament at a bar during the day is completely hilarious.

I had forgotten about the whole "Miyagi necklace theft and murder" thing. I'm glad they revisited that and got some closure on it. And that was a really good/sweet scene with Daniel's mom giving the necklace to Sam.

Sam and Miguel's romance feels just so forced at this point. it feels like they are just buddies or something. But at least they got their moment in the end with him flying to Okinawa to be with her and get her settled in and whatnot.

I got a laugh out of Tori hating Zara for her social media branding and presence, but now that she won the tournament she's signing with an image and branding company which is centered a lot around social media branding. And good for Robby to get recognized for his skills too and coming along for that ride. That was a nice ending for him.

The Miguel fight was awesome and really well done with the splicing in of all of the flashbacks and shite. Like I said, they really stepped it up with the fight sequences this season, and whoever edited those deserves an Emmy nomination IMO. I was happy to see Miguel win though. He deserves it.

The final fight with Johnny and Wolf was surprisingly good. Like the Miguel fight, the editing was great and it looks like Johnny was actually making some of those kicks. Honestly I did sort of expect him to lose though. Especially after the Rocky talk between him and Daniel (which was hilarious by the way...the look Johnny gives him when he asks if he remembers Rocky ). But this entire show has been about John's redemption, so it was cool to see him get his win. And him in the OG CK gi with Thunderstruck blasting was badass.

And even Daniel grew a ton now. That scene with he and Silver was great when Terry was talking shite about how even if Johnny wins it means Daniel loses because it'll be Cobra Kai on the podium and not Miyagi-do. And Daniel coming to terms with that and being okay with that because he knows he's a part of Johnny's journey and shares in his success is just a really good arc for him.

As others have said, the Silent Lucidity montage was badass.

Him asking Daniel to be his sensei was great too, and Daniel finally understanding how to get to him was also great:
"Stop being a pussy and kick his fricking arse.
"Yes, sensei."

Stingray. Ugh.

Johnny calling Daniel to the stage to share the trophy was good. And then Daniel hits him with the "You're alright, Lawrence." Just one completely awesome final callback to the original movies.

While I agree this show went on a tad too long, this show was honestly pretty amazing. Outside of maybe Top Gun: Maverick, I can't think of any other piece of entertainment that interwove nostalgia and callbacks as perfectly as this show did. And for the most part, everyone's ending was damn near perfect. And these final episodes focusing so hard on Daniel and Johnny, while the kids finally took a back seat, elevated the quality of the show SO MUCH. It's such a better show when those two are the focus and not the annoying arse kids. So that was nice. This is definitely a show that I will love forever and will likely rewatch within the next several years. It's been a great ride with y'all discussing this shite.

This was one of the only times I didn't mind the flashbacks. That, and the ones for the surrounding CK guys in Johnny's crew were nice. I never would've known the Sekai Taikai ref was a previous participant in the All Valley if it weren't for his flashback.

Did I hear right that they said that dude was a two-time AV winner? And Johnny was also a two-time winner I believe. And Daniel obviously won two. How many years were these dudes competing in the AV Under 18 tourney? There aren't enough years to go around.

Something else that stood out to me that I forgot to mention in my long post. When they showed John on the Sports Illustrated cover, it said this was the first time that an American dojo had competed in the ST tourney.

The flashbacks got a little heavy-handed during Johnny's fight with Wolf, though. Credit where it's due, I suppose. They looked like they were telegraphing that Johnny would win with a Crane kick, and he just punched him out.

Zara's teeth getting knocked out by Tory and the kids calling her the Tooth Fairy was awesome.

Of course it was always going to be a Johnny redemption story.

The match between Miguel and Axel had a hint of Daniel vs Cobra Kai with the, break his spine and end it. And the student not wanting to win that way.

Added a Kreese redemption as well. Silver remained an a-hole to the end.

Chozen finally gets the girl.

Would have like to have a few more team on team brawls outside of the tournament.

Of course, in the real world, Tory, Miguel and Johnny get destroyed by the other fighters.

Rehashing the oh no we're losing! here's a last minute speech to turn it around thing over and over again got old.
